explain what on earth those cloth wrappings (Bow wears it when he’s in the hot tub with Adora and Glimmer) could possibly be if not a binder
they’re utterly inexplicable otherwise. there’s no stigma for male nipples in Etheria (see: Seneschal in Flowers for She-Ra), and by extension no mandate that shirtless cis men can’t be shown in the show. cloth tightly wrapped around your chest wouldn’t enhance the experience of enjoying hot water. it’s not a thing carried over from real life; if it’s a cultural norm made up for the show, it’s bizarre and pointless, since it indicates nothing about Etherian society except that there’s a weird, seemingly-contradictory norm regarding what men wear when publicly in water
the simplest, most sensible, most viable answer? Binder.

no way did a bunch of queer creators put a character elsewhere indicated to be trans in front of a trans pride flag by sheer accident (especially considering there’s a lesbian in the background of the Princess Prom whose dress is literally the lipstick lesbian pride flag, and Sea Hawk has an actual flag of his face made with almost exactly the bi pride colors)
and now we know that ‘Bow’ being his birthname makes zero sense, because his dads are pacifist historians opposed to violence, and we know that he taught himself archery; Bow deriving his name from the thing he’s secretly most passionate about not only makes total sense, it’s honestly the only viable explanation
to sum: Bow is Trans, y’all, so jot that down
