The Bible says that when the Antichrist walks the earth, he will appear as a false prophet. He will gain the adoration of fools by deceiving them, claiming himself to be Jesus in his second coming— the Bible was wrong about that.

Adam has never claimed to be Jesus.

Nor has he ever condemned Jesus. Despite the two being destined to clash in a end-all-be-all battle with him, Adam is sure he would enjoy Jesus if he is true to what people claim of him. He agrees with everything Jesus is said to have stood for— the only thing they are sure to clash on are matters of their fathers.

Adam believes God is cruel. God has abandoned his creations and condemned them— and yet still expects them to follow his doctrine. God was the one to force Lucifer to fall and went to use him as a scapegoat for everything bad in the world— when all Lucifer had dared to do was oppose his way. Lucifer rebelled, but isn't God supposed to be forgiving? Lucifer didn't agree with God, but does that make him evil?

Lucifer has little to do with Hell in reality. The 'devil' pop culture is familiar with is closer to Beelzebub than Lucifer himself.  Lucifer is depressed— has been for years. And Beyond helping raise Adam with his partner Sage he hasn't been up to much, so Adam happily took on the weight that is harbringing the apocalypse. If people call him evil, they may call him evil. If people hate him, then they may hate him. Ultimately Adam cannot control what people do— but he hopes that by the end the world will be better for it. That God's cookie cutter ways might be dismantled and a new age will begin— an age of imperfection. An age of acceptance. An age where tight-smile passive aggression is dead and open communication rules. An age where man, women, and everyone not or in-between can be truly & uniquely themselves.

Adam doesn't claim to be Jesus, because he sees no point in it. A following is useless if they aren't following him— and to be successful in destroying Heaven to remake earth, he needs to have people who truly believe in his cause.

God I love Adam sm bc he is genuinely what the Bible says the Antichrist wld have to fake. He is actually kind, and empathetic, and wants to help humanity. The Bible says this wld all be an act meant to fool ppl into thinking he is Jesus but, Adam doesn't even claim to be him. He just is some soft goth dude who wants the world to be better.
