There is something so brazen about an OoT remake as a cultural object. We've hit the critical mass of cynical nostalgia slop. This game's components have been iterated upon by literally thousands of projects for the last 25 years. It's the homo erectus of 3D games. It's Leavened Bread 1, "hey guys look what happenes if I put yeast in it!" and Nintendo has put Bread 1 on a gold-trimmed plate and knows, without any reasonable doubt, that their audience will give them $70 +tax for it.
