♒ Childhood AU

Aurora ran around on the forest path, making her way through the woods towards town. She was told if she stayed on the path, she would be allowed to visit town. She was so excited thatin the midst of her running, she dropped her basket and a couple of apples came tumbling out. She hgrabbed one, but the other had rolled down the path and when she went to retrieve it, she saw another girl.

"Oh, sorry. Am I in your way? My apple rolled away, have you seen it?"

Marian was sitting against a tree in Sherwood Forest. It was the first time she had been outside of the palace walls in a year. She saw an apple roll past her and into the forest, and there was a girl trailing not far behind it.

Marian looked at the girl as she stood up. “Yes, it went that way.” She said pointing into the forest. “I can help you find it if you’d like.” She offered.

"You'd do that? You'd help me?" Aurora asked in awe. Her parents had always told her that the people outside the castle walls often were mean and only wanted to help themselves. "That's be so nice of you."

She walked quickly over the forest and peered into the bushes, trying to spot it. "I'm Aurora, by the way."

"Deal." She said and poured the coins into her pale palm, quickly sorting out half, holding it out to him. "Pleasure to meet you, Robin Hood, I'm Aurora."

☤ Coffee Shop AU

Aurora had just placed an order on her coffee and stood near the entry of the diner, her hands stuffed in her pockets. It was an extremely cold day out and she hoped getting a coffee would warm and wake her up. She heard the bell behind her and glanced over her shoulder as she she stepped to the side. 

"Sorry to be in your way." She said quietly to the man that entered. She took her hands out of her pockets and rubbed them together to keep them warm. "Gosh, is it normally this freezing?"

Graham swore lightly under his breath, cursing out the cold freeze that had settled over Storybrooke. It seemed to him that the cold was getting worse each year…or maybe he was just getting old.

Pulling off his gloves he headed into the diner, nearly tripping over the long lady waiting at the front. “It’s alright.” He told her lightly and then shook his head. “No…not normally but it feels like a freeze has set in. Let’s just hope it doesn’t become a blizzard…” he shook his head a bit.

"A blizzard?" Aurora said in surprise. "I don't think I've ever been caught in one of those before. I heard they can get pretty bad. Of course, it's on the day I lose my gloves."

She laughed lightly to herself and pulled her white hands out of her pockets long enough to show him before stuffing them back into her coat pockets. "I'm hoping a coffee will warm me up."

“Well I am.” Aurora said with a shrug and tilted her head to one side. “So how are you, Rumplestiltskin? Is that how you say your name?”

"Aren’t you a strange one."

"And yes, that is how you say it."  He didn’t answer her question about how he was.  Rumple didn’t believe that she actually really cared whether and Dark One was doing well or not.  Most people would probably be happy if he wasn’t doing well.

"I'm the strange one?" She asked as she surveyed his attire and physical features. "I would think you were in this situation. I take it that you won’t answer my question to you, so why don’t you ask me a question?”

✿ Apocalypse AU

Aurora hopped down from the stack of wooden crates from where she stood beneath the open window and snuck quietly through the dark storage house. She was careful not to make a noise as she moved a wooden lid aside to reveal multiple canteens of water. She put two in her bag and replaced the lid, she stepped back and when she turned around to move out, she rammed straight into someone. 

She instantly recoiled and tried to run away, but tripped over a long hem on her clothes and fell, she rolled over and looked up at the figure in terror. When the figure stepped into the light, she had a different reaction.

"What the hell?"

Aurora looked around uncertainly at the world that she found herself in. The portal jumper had promised her that he’d get her to Storybrooke but, from the look of this place, it was no Storybrooke! And she prayed that her children weren’t caught up in a place like this. 

She rounded a corner and bumped into another figure. Before she could speak the figure tried to run away, tripped and hit the ground. She stepped forward to help and found herself staring at a woman that could be her twin. 

"What in the world?" She gaped for a moment and then quickly reacted, holding her hand out. "Let me help you up…you didn’t get hurt did you?"

Aurora looked cautiously at the woman’s hand, unsure if she should take it. She decided against it and got up on her own, this was either some trick or she was going crazy. 

"It’s a good thing I didn’t or else we’d both be in a lot of danger." She eyed the woman warily and brushed herself off. Puffs or dust and fine dirt could be seen in the light of the dirty window. "Now what are you?"

Aurora pulled her hand back when the other woman denied the help. Instead she dropped it back to her side and studied the woman again, more intently this time. 

"What am I?" She rose an eyebrow a bit. "I’m a human for one thing—a woman to be more specific. Should I have been anything else?" 

The slightly sarcastic reply probably would earn her no help from this odd doppelganger but Aurora couldn’t help it. She had come here seeing her children…she did not ask to be treated like she was some kind of enemy.

"Yes, actually." Aurora said coldly. "If you are a human, why do you look like me? Surely you are some shape shifting hag. Who were you sent by!?"

Her voice rose as she tried to sound more confident in her speech patterns. She wasn't very good at intimidation tactics, but she didn't want to give yp.

"It was Maleficent, wasn't it? Or the Evil Queen?!"

Aurora shrugged, hoping to come off as nonchalant, “It would be greatly accepted.”

"Well then your highness," he said with an exaggerated bow, "Please forgive me for any past digressions."

Aurora couldn't help but laugh a little, though she tried to stifle it. "You are forgiven, pirate. Now then, how does it feel to have apologized? Have a great weight lifted from your shoulders or something like that?"

Aurora was slightly distracted by the man at the moment, but she tried to keep her cool about it. She looked down at her shoes quickly before back up at the man. She was glad she had worn something remotely flattering on her and opted out of the dull gray pantsuit she was debating on wearing.

“Oh, thank you, Mr. Cassidy.” She said with a smile and lightly sat in the chair, crossing her legs, left over right. She tugged absentmindedly at the hem of her skirt and watched the other in front of her. She hoped the heat rising in her cheeks wasn’t too obvious, she wasn’t used to a situation like this. “How are you today, Mr. Cassidy?”

Neal watched as Aurora glanced down at her shoes. So she is nervous probably first time in a place like this. Neal watched her walk carefully over to the chair and take a seat. Her legs crossed. It took everything in Neal not to droll over the sigh before him. He walked slowly over to the desk and sat down. Looking into the beautiful blue eyes. When she spoke Neal was taken to another world. A world away from this office, just her and himself all alone. Neal was brought out of his day dream when she spoke.

Neal could she the blush rising towards her cheeks. It complemented her fair skin tone nicely. A little pinkness tinting her cheeks. Her skin was so perfect it looked like porcelain, so perfect. “I’m fine, Miss Aurora. And yourself?” He asked. Amazed how that sentence came out without sounding stupid. Years of practice baby.

"SI'll be honest, I am slightly nervous, but other than that, just wonderful." Aurora had a smile on her pink lips as she watched the other in front of her. He seemed calm and collected and she tried her best to mirror that attitude back.

"Thank you for seeing me today, you must of had many good candidates before me. I expect you have some questions for me?" She gave herself a mental high-five. She'd managed to sound professional and humble at the same time. 

She cleared her throat to prepare herself to answer his questions, folding her pale hands in her lap and sitting up straighter. "I'll be happy to answer anything and everything you throw at me, Mr. Cassidy.

"I suppose you are right, Dark One. However, what deal would I possibly want to make with you?" Aurora asked through narrowed eyes. "Must everything be about a deal, though? Maybe I simply wanted to ask how you are?”

"No one comes to see me without a deal in mind."  It was unheard of for there to be someone who actually just wanted to talk to him, and ask how he was.  Everyone was too afraid of him to talk to him unless they were desperate enough to make a deal.  So Rumple wasn’t sure what to make of her last question.

“Well I am.” Aurora said with a shrug and tilted her head to one side. “So how are you, Rumplestiltskin? Is that how you say your name?”

“Yes, I am Aurora.” She said with a smile and a curtsey. “It is a pleasure, Princess Emma. How are you?”

Emma gave a curtsey herself, although being on the move she wasn’t wearing a gown but pants, “Very fine, I’m coming back home after a long journey! How are you? And if you don’t mind me asking, how come you were sitting here on your own and not… on a carriage or in your castle with your guards?” Maybe the other princess also enjoyed taking risks and her life out of her castle?

“A long journey? Sounds exciting!“ Aurora laughed a little and then shrugged slightly and pulled her cloak tighter around her shoulders. “Sometimes I like to be out of the castle walls. They are somewhat confining at times and I like to be by myself. I bet that must sound strange to you.”

  Aurora stood her ground and looked up at him. “Maybe you did, but that does not justify you stealing it in the first place and putting it right in Cora’s hands. I would like a formal apology, Hook.” She had a little smirk on her face, clearly testing her boundaries.

Aurora wasn’t expecting to see a man like Neal Cassidy before her. She’d expected a much older and meaner looking man, but nonetheless, it was a very pleasant surprise. She tried her best to regulate her shakey and nervous breathing as she kept a friendly smile on her face. Aurora took the man’s hand with her manicured one and gently yet firmly shook it, keeping eye contact with him.

“Mr. Cassidy, it’s wonderful to finally meet you.” Aurora said with a friendly tone. She clasped her hands, right over left in front of her and stood relaxed, yet straight and waited for him to say something. She wondered if the stammer when she came in was a one time occurance of if Neal spoke with a stutter sometimes. “How are you today?”

Neal couldn’t take his eyes off her. From the looks of thing she couldn’t either. She kept eye contact as she reached out to shake Neal’s hand with her firm grip. Neal nearly melted at the sight of her smile. She is so beautiful. 

"Nice to meet you too…Aurora" He said trying to regain his composure. He just kept staring into her captivating crystal blue eyes.  " Would you like to sit down" he asked removing his hand from her grip and gesturing towards the empty seat in front of his desk.
