SO I’M GONNA BE SLOWLY POSTING SOME OF THE NEW ARTWORK I MADE THIS YEAR AND HAVE ON MY OTHER SOCIAL MEDIA

So I’m working on a comic about this secret facility that experiments on psychics and the supernatural [sound familiar? lol it’s loosely based on the Red Beauty fanfic i wrote called Subject 204 complete with spinoffs Subject 223 (featuring Swan Queen) and Subject 219 (featuring Pricefield)]

The new story will be set in Canada, in the Greater Vancouver Area.

I wanted to make these kinda look like facility files on the characters, which is pretty interesting to do since it involves viewing the cast through a cold, “scientific” lens, or like they were written by one of the facility staff. ⠀ ANYWAY here’s Subject 503, one of the major characters in the comic. 503 is a werewolf that’s been kept at the facility for several years and she’s one of the most prized subjects. They’ve conducted A LOT of experiments on her and she takes it like a champ, but maybe the scientists have gotten a little too comfortable with dehumanizing her.⠀

I based her werewolf design loosely on red wolves and coyotes. More sleek, more pointed snouts, bigger ears, etc.⠀ ⠀ She’s also scrawny and scarred up af after being experimented on for so many years.

After being off of tumblr for like 5ever, I think I wanna try and get back into this community because I miss the vibe here. I’m also frustrated with how much work I’m putting into my other socials and how little engagement I’m getting in return.

ahhhh. I feel terrible about making y’all wait AGAIN. We were SO CLOSE to finishing it before the holidays but then the holidays happened then life happened then the pandemic happened and now I’m just ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Still, I’mma try and find some time to work on it.

Queen’s Scouts

So I finished Issue One and my usual curse kicked in. But NOT OUT OF LACK OF INTEREST. I still love the project and issue two is still in a weird production limbo with half the pages inked and the other half in tied down sketches and then about a third is in the flat color stage.

Moving to another country has made it hard to coordinate with my co-artist David, so we’re kind of in a weird place now and I just… don’t know??

AND NOW I’M WORKING ON A NEW PROJECT

That story still holds a HUGELY special place in my heart.

I’ve reworked the story, changed the cast and am now developing it into an original story that I’m going to make into a webcomic!

It’s in the preproduction stage now. I have the script for chapter 1 and 2. Character and environment design is chugging along and I aLMOST have a title!

so in the 800 times they got reset, there’s been some Chidi/Eleanor, some Eleanor/Tahani, and some Tahani/Jason.

So there’s… a non-zero chance that there was some Chidi/Jason going on at some point.

And to be honest, all I can imagine is, like, it’s a timeline where for some reason Jason kept quiet for a lot longer so Chidi finds himself attracted to this wise, calm, silent monk that just listens while Chidi rants about the problems he’s facing….

and then one day Jason opens his mouth.

Chidi comes across as pretty straight imo but this would be amazing😂😂 I feel like Jason wouldn’t even understand the concept of sexuality tbh, he’d be like “what’s a gay?”

Chidi literally cant decide between colors of hats, you think he wouldnt have spent his entire life questioning his sexuality? This is why I find the scene where he so clearly states hes not gay or bi so outrageous Chidi would spend an entire week in that’s simulation with Jason as his soulmate freaking out wondering if hes truly gay and was repressing his homosexuality while alive (which would be another way of torture for Michael to throw at him) and then he would be like “no it’s just friendship” and then hed look at Jason’s beautiful face and be like “but is it?” He would even sit down one day next to Jason/Jianu and just rant about his mixed emotions and feelings and sexuality questions and poor Jason would sit there being silent with his obliviously pansexual self thinking “what are all these sexualities this hot smart guys listing all I know is people are hot and when people are hot and they like to back you make out” then when Chidi finally stopped talking and Jason who had tuned out a long time ago just stares at him until he realizes Chidi’s done talking and he does the hand on chest thing that he did to Michael in season 1. And Chidi is sitting there staring into this very pretty man’s eyes and hes feeling a lot calmer all of a sudden. And he thinks “maybe he is my spulmate” and he does that subconscious lean in thing, which Jason totally notices and just fricking goes for it because “hey this guys obviously not gonna make the first move” then Chidi freaks out again because “wait Jianu you’re a monk you took a vow of celibacy and since you’re keeping your silence vow you must want to keep this one too” and then Jason finally opens his mouth and says something like “woah woah woah are you saying that me pretending to be a monk guy means I’ll never have sex again for an eternity?” And then Chidi is freaking out for a whole other reason.

i kinda feel bad for oedipus b/c everyone assumes he chose to fuck his mom when in fact he went out of his way to avoid it. he left his hometown and distanced himself from his parents because he was afraid he would somehow get tricked into fucking his mom. everything could have been avoided if his adopted parents told him he was adopted.

also the point of the myth is supposed to show how despite your best efforts no mortal can thwart fate but also? what the fuck? the whole thing was an oracle telling laius that his son was going to murder him and fuck his wife. that shit came out of nowhere. he didn’t offend the gods or anything. they just decided for no reason other than the world is fucked up sometimes.

i have been informed that oedipus’ dad, laius, did in fact bring a curse upon himself for kidnapping and raping king pelop’s son chrysippus.

i stand by my stance that it’s still ridiculous to punish oedipus and jocasta for laius’s crimes. also why would the godss curse oedipus for fucking his mom when they tricked him into doing it in the first place? fucked up.
