After over a month of sitting on this, I’m finally getting around to posting it! I’m not sure what took so long, laziness or apprehension on its reception, but here it is: my final animation project!

This is a trailer for “Wolfling",  an adventure narrative game about a young girl’s voyage through the snowy woods and its struggles within. A dark past brews between two wolf clans: the Black Wolves and the White Wolves. After being forced out of their Woods, the Black wolves are left with nothing. When a young girl named Penelope wanders up to their doorstep, everything begins to change.

The game is supposed to be played much like a child being read a bedtime story: there is a narrator reading to you, and there will be cutscenes with storybook illustrations.

Hello everyone! I am close to completing the environment for the first level. I will be working on finishing up the final tree placements and then I'm going to add some extra stuff, bushes, misc rocks, logs, etc. after that comes the feel of the first area which is (hopefully) reminiscent of the example scene I first posted a bit ago. A lot has changed aesthetically, and now the environment has more greenery, but don't worry, the white wolf territory will hopefully look and feel intimidating (and more closely resemble the example video) when its time comes. ;) hope all of you are doing well, hello new followers! Thank you everyone for following along with us on our journey, thus far! We hope you'll stay tuned! ~Ian

Hi everyone!

This is Ian, I’m back from visiting Cher in California. I made big progress on fixing my computer, but as of tonight my sound stopped working after I was away from my pc for a bit. It installed something, some sort of driver update I believe, and my audio just stopped. So, I’m working on fixing that. Until then progress is running smooth on the first level! I hope everyone has been having a good January. I’ll see about getting some teaser pictures up soon that (hopefully) won’t give away too much. ;)

Edit: Cherylynn had also been working on rigging up Penelope with animations!! So you should be seeing her come to life in the very near future. I'll note that progress will slow a little as Cherylynn has gone back to school. But that doesn't mean we are not stopping by any means.

Update #1

Cherylynn and I spoke with a programmer friend today who said he'd be interested in working with us, excited to see where this goes! Currently fixing my computer/cleaning it up, because it has been running exponentially slower lately. Will try to have progress shots within the week. These minor setbacks suck, but I'm working through them the best I can. Just wanted to say that the kind words have been great motivation! I really appreciate all of you. Thank you! The game looks gorgeous! Do you do all of the assets, rigging and textures in Blender?

thank you so much! yes, we do! we’re a two person team, and Cherylynn (our 3D artist) makes the assets and rigs, while our environment designer (ian) places the assets and adds effects
