Here’s a special snippet of the Bad End AU first chapter! The official story won’t be posted until I finish the first arc at least, BUT YOU CAN HAVE THIS PAIN AS A CRUMB UNTIL THEN-
Shoutout to @sapphirewitch274 for getting me excited to finish this!!!
“Wukong!” Macaque screamed, watching the blue spirit absorb completely into the defenseless King, who yelled in pain, his body jerking as if trying to kick her out, before her cold voice began to laugh hysterically.
“Finally! I will achieve perfection!” Her hysterical laughter broke off into a screech, her painfilled scream causing Macaques’ six ears to press tightly to the side of his head as he winced, wide eyes watching as the puppet that was his Kings’ body leaned forward. “W-What is happening?!”
Macaque wished he had the answer as well, he could feel MKs’ hands grip his shirt tighter as they stared at the scene before them. Magenta red flickered around the body with two spirits fighting for control, the blue slowly becoming encompassed by the red, the ice around Wukong melting, leaving not even a puddle behind.
“What’s going on Macaque?” MK whispered, eyes wide as they watched the magenta slowly force the blue back, Wukongs’ eyes flicking between blue and red, showing the war within the ginger monkey.
“I think…I think Wukong is trying to force her out.” breathed the shadow monkey, ears picking up the sound of the verbal power struggle between the wraith and the Celestial Monkey.
“Sun Wukong, stop this insistent nonsense now or we’ll both perish, you fool!”
“Fuck you, if I’m going down…you’re coming with me, bitch.”
“You would let this world fester and rot like a cesspool of nothing, but filth, for what reason?!”
“Because this world can change for the better and it’s time relics like us disappeared for good!”
Macaques’ breath stopped as he heard the Lady Bone Demon give another shrill scream before the Samadhi Fire sprouted forth once more, this time engulfing Wukongs’ entire body once more. He watched as the fire continued to burn, not even the slightest bit of blue shining through anymore as it continued to burn and scorch the floor around the monarch.
“This…is the last layer I had…” Wukong sounded so tired… “I’ve given this world another chance and MK can handle the rest with his friends…”
“No…No!” He screamed, moving to try and get closer to try and save Wukong, even if he burned with him. “Wukong!”
Even from the distance they were at, he saw red eyes look over his way, a sad smile marring Wukongs’ face, even as his body began to burn away into ash. The shorters’ mouth moved slowly, each word a painful stab into Macaques’ chest. “Wo ai ni…Mihou.”
And then…he was gone, leaving nothing, but a slowly dwindling fire that began to burn out without anything to sustain it.
The area was now quiet and cold, both MK and Macaque watching the remains of the fight with heavy hearts and tears wearing paths down their cheeks.
