“Yeah, I change my routine everyday.” Daisy nodded giving her a smile. “Oh don’t worry, I’m not a small talk person, if I could completely avoid it, I would."

“Ah. Yeah, I can’t do that, if I change things up too much it starts to freak me out.” Tandy admitted before nodding with a slight laugh. “Life would be so much easier if small talk wasn’t inevitably necessary, it’s the worst.”

“Really---and it was right in the middle of class, too. I don’t know what they were trying to achieve, but it was a really stupid thing to do.”

“I don’t know if I’d go as far as to say that I’m incredibly smart, but at least I usually have more common sense than the idiots on campus today.”

“Tandy. . “ She shook her head as if everything was alright. “N-Nothing. . Just a scratch. No big deal, hun. . Don’t worry about me.” She offered her a small smile.

Tandy could sense the lie---she wasn’t sure how, but she could. And her aunt had clearly been hurt somewhere, the truth omitted or not. Tandy had never seen Davina hurt before, it worried her. “Is it really just a scratch? Are you okay?”

“It usually isn’t even that bad, but recently it’s just been so ridiculous. I don’t understand how I'm the same age as people who can be so stupid, I really don’t.”

Davina poured alcohol on the wound and although it stung–nothing stung more than the hurt look on Peter’s face.

Tandy’s fresh heightened senses pulled a scent to her before she realized what was going on, and upon unknowingly following it, her eyes widened at the sight she found. “---Aunt Davina? What--What happened? Are you okay?”

“Someone felt the need to set off a cannon on campus earlier that made half of the professors in my hall think someone was shooting a gun. College kids can be incredibly stupid sometimes.”

“So I’m assuming you’re a fellow gym junkie or something, then?” Tandy asked before rolling her eyes at herself, “Also, I am a shitty small-talk person, if that was not already obvious.”

“You guys have such big books now. I mean mine weren’t small, but now they are huge.”

“They’re pretty huge yeah, but they’re not that bad. We don’t use everything in most of them, my professors just give them to us in case we need extra time with the information.”

“I am too, just---everything’s been crazy since he died. It’s been really hard to adjust to any of it.”

“I’ve never seen the appeal in those movies and they are probably the most predictable thing on the planet. Horror is the best, especially if it’s a cheesy B-Horror film.” Harley’s lips spread into a grin before she shook her head. “Honestly? Both. We can always save the food but we both know that we’re probably going to eat a lot– or at least I am.”

“That’s so true though, like---why? Ugh. How he and his ridiculous love stories ever became famous is beyond me. Oh, well of course.” Tandy laughed, rolling her eyes as she remembered some of the horrible horror flicks she’d watched with Harley in the past. “Hey, food’s our thing---so that’s not surprising at all. Are we raiding first, ordering later or do we just want to save the trouble later and do it all now?”
