     “and don’t worry, i didn’t forget about you, mister.” the scamander chuckles softly as she reaches into her satchel, digging around until she pulls out a leather-bound journal engraved with a dragon, “i think this will fit you just nicely.”

kurt took the journal and looked at her. “elphie!” he said. “that’s the most magnificent thing.” he said, running his hand across the cover. now he could take it with him to write about his journeys. “thank you so much! now tell me all about your trip.”

Evander opened his shop a little late that morning. He had been working himself too hard, and it had left him not wanting to get out of bed. He stood behind the desk, quietly appraising an object that had been left the day before. At the sound of the bell, he looked up towards the door. “What objects have you brought for me today?”

kurt wasn't really sure why he’d come in here. he didn’t have the need to sell anything though his house was getting junky. “nothing.” kurt said. “my friend is looking for a tea set and i was wondering if you had any for sale.”

     “give me a double helping of fire whiskey and…” the auror looks around the quiet bar before spotting the man, “and whatever the big fella is having, i’m in a giving mood tonight.”

kurt was drinking some kind of beer, he wasn’t exactly sure what it was but it tasted fine so he wasn’t complaining. he turned when he heard someone speak. “oh hello. it’s you again.” he said.

     upon hearing the bell to her shop  -  as well as her son’s excited squealing  -  sera appears from the back area with a smile on her lips, it had been such a slow day. “hello there my love, how may i be of service? ripped robes? need a shirt altering? or maybe you’d like a biscuit and a sit down?”

“i had to buy a suit and it needs some alterations.” kurt said, smiling at the little kid that he saw. kids were cute, through kurt wasn’t sure that he ever wanted to be a father. “is that something you can do?”

“See I really wish I wasn’t covered in dirt right now.” He brushed his hands off on his dirt covered pants, it didn’t help much. “I’d make a much better impression if I wasn’t.” But there’d been a problem in one of the gardens in town, something that set off the plants and of course Luis was the one to fix it. 

“i don’t really mind.” kurt said, looking at the other. he wasn’t one that could judge. for his job he was normally covered in scratches and dirt as well. some dragons were harder to deal with than others. “might i ask though, why are you so covered in dirt?”

“doesn’t mean i have to listen,” rina grumbled, before pulling a face, “the dude with the cape? yeah i was gonna head over there later. and thanks for the observation, i am hungover as fuck.”

“i mean true.” kurt said. “yeah that guy. that’s probably your smartest plan of action. that sounds absolutely dreadful.” he said. being hungover was not fun, so he felt sort of bad for her though it was probably her fault she was hungover.

     “oh my, of course!” the tailor hurries from behind her sewing station, hands reaching out to get a better look at the tear in the shirt. “hm…i’ve seen worst holes in shirts, some have even come in in shreds of fabric. this is an easy fix.”

“oh thank you.” kurt said, smiling a bit. “that shirt means a lot to me as weird as that sounds.” he said. did people have clothes that meant a lot to them? he wasn’t sure. but he sure did.

— levi nodded, “ long as he doesn’t get his hands on polyjuice, ” she joked. she laughed as the man’s laces came undone and he tripped back when he stood on one. “ thanks for that, ” she smiled at kurt when the other man was gone. “ just butterbeer and chips ? ” she asked, scribbling an order for the chips and grabbing a glass. she set it in front of kurt.

“no problem. i don’t understand why some people need to be so rude to people.” he said, shaking his head a bit. “yes. butterbeer and crisps. unless you have a suggestion of what i should get.”

“you can decide if i’m a whacko or not, but i had some extra energy that i needed to run out.” kurt said. it happened a lot and wasn’t something that he could really explain.·“what about you? why are you apparating to a park at this time of night?” he asked. she was obviously hurt so what had she been doing before that.·

“so i ripped a hole in my shirt and was told that you’d be able to fix it.” kurt said, holding out his favorite shirt which had a big rip in it. it wasn’t rare for kurt to have ripped clothing, especially due to his job but considering which shirt it was he knew it couldn’t stay ripped.

“okay so feel free to tell me that my idea is crazy but i’m just got back from helping a dragon refuge in canada and i think i might move there. it’s so beautiful.” kurt said, thinking about the trip he had recently taken.

kurt felt like he rarely got to see his friend anymore. their schedules were both very chaotic, not to mention the full moon issue once a month. “rayna!” he exclaimed as he walked towards her. “i brought you some lunch.” he noted, holding out a bag with food.

“so i know it’s just a cut, but it’s pretty deep and from a dragon so i figured i probably needed to come see someone.” kurt said, unbandaging his arm. “whatcha think? how bad is it?”

— levi pressed her fingers against her temple as the man in front of her continued to rant about the dish he’d ordered, which had been cooked exactly to his specifications, “ this is ridiculous. that was perfect, and you’re just trying to con me out of charging you for it, ” levi snapped, turning away from the man and making a shoo-ing motion at him when he continued to splutter at her. “ hey, what can i get you ? ” she turned to the next person to show up to the bar.

kurt looked completely annoyed, not at levi but at the asshole who was talking to her like that. “well that sure is one way to get yourself banned from somewhere.” he said, stepping forward and casting a spell to make the guy’s shoes become untied. it was petty, but it did the trick. “i don’t even remember what i came to order. i guess just a butterbeer and chips.” he said.

“Stop talking,” Cerina held out her index finger, draining the rest of the coffee in her cup. She’d drank far too much last night, which is how she was in the same dress from the night before, sunglasses shielding her eyes from the light, a cup of coffee in hand. Pulling a face, Cerina pushed her sunglasses on the top of her head, wincing at the light. “What were you saying again? Was it important or are you just talking shit?”

“i don’t think you hold any authority of me, so i will sadly decline and not stop talking.” kurt said. “you should go see the weird-ass apothecary dude he might have something for you.” he said, looking at her. “you look hungover as fuck.”

     dropping back into jardine park through the use of apparition, des stumbles along the gravelled path before catching herself  -  she doesn’t need anymore cuts and bruises. “will i ever get the hang of that? damn…” shaking her head, the auror looks up to find herself being stared at  -  maybe she should have apperated back home instead of in the open.”what? you never seen a black eye before?”

running. sometimes that was all kurt could do to keep his energy level and anxiety down. he came to an abrupt halt as someone appeared in front of him. obviously, they had apparated, but it still caught him off guard. “i have seen one before.” he noted. “but when someone appears in your path while you’re running it’s hard not to stare.”
