There was a lull in business at that hour, midday was always slowest. Jude took that time to clean and reorganize the record shop. However, he made sure to preserve his favourite smell. The smell of old newspaper and musky old records. It added to the aesthetic.

The vinyl that currently filled the place was from the Human world. The band quickly became his late wife’s favourite after hearing the song Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds. 

But when you talk about destruction Don't you know that you can count me out? You know it's gonna be All right

Humming a long with the music as he returned unwanted stock to their proper place, he heard the bell on the door. “Hello,” He glanced over his shoulder with a generally polite expression due to a sort of awkward shyness. “Anything I can help you find?”

Look Out (Here Comes Tomorrow)

Etta was just lounging about. She looked like something out of a dance rehearsal, casually yet completely controlled as she took up half of the couch. It wasn’t her territory, nor was she dressed for the event. Since she and Tristan were delivered a letter to attend the Caucus Return race, she felt compelled to get every angle she could to prepare herself. When she heard of a time through the looking glass where very similar races were held, she decided it was a valuable tool for her artillery. Perhaps she could acquire some weapons and knowledge that they didn’t have in Wonderland that would give her an advantage on the others.

“--darling dew, yes you. Mind telling me what this event is for? I’m new to this.” She put on a false charm to appear outgoing. Hell, if it wasn’t for Tristan and a voracious curiosity she might never leave the flat.

Mock Around the Clock

A slender brow slowly raised as amber hues pierced the tiny window of the front door to the safe house. That... scent was basically seeping in through the seams of the entryway. “My my...” she cooed through the wooden door before pulling it open and standing in a poised and yet pointed manner. “...What brings a human girl to my safe house? Did someone send you?” A quick once over and a tilt of the head. The Mock Turtle had an almost eerily calm voice, “You need the password to entre.” A pause. “Why is the raven like a writing desk?”

Better Run, Better Run...

“He’s there! Get him! He must be present at the drawing for the Caucus Race!” yelled 9 of Clubs as a quarter deck of suits pursued the Dormouse.

“Backward, forward, upward, downward, bottom to the top!” snickered Greyce, a Cheshire, safe in her tree perch as Tristan zipped by her, weaving through the Abandoned City. This was the first time his immunity as a victor of the races was null. New rules by her royal Heart.

He thought it was a glass door he was headed for before he glanced over his shoulder behind him. He couldn’t let them see where he was going.

If it was a glass door.. the glass would have shattered, but that was lost on him due to panic. He tumbled through-- a looking glass-- tripping to his knees once on the other side before scrambling to his feet once more. There was a girl in the room, “Help me! Please let me hide here! I can’t let them find me, surely you understand.” 

He didn’t know it yet, but surely.... she did in her own right.

The blond’s brows raised as she looked up to see the ladder fall, knock a wand off the shelf and out of it’s box and strike a spark of magic to shatter a lamp. 

Miss Atomic Bomb’s gaze then shifted to the man, “Not really, but I’m a patient girl anyway.” She gave a falsely charming smile before taking a few steps toward him, “Now I’ve never shopped for a wand before, how does this usually work, love? I’ve been told to get one by a friend of mine, Morrigan.”

“I won’t keep you for long, I promise.”  She spoke, looking up at the man.  “I need to know a bit about this area of Wonderland.  I swear – no harm will come to you.”  There was enough blood on her hands thanks to the Red Court, and she wished to see no more innocent blood be spilled.

All of this made him feel uneasy. His stomach felt like a sneaker in a tumble dryer. Finally he stopped in front of her and held the bars on either side of him.

“What exactly are you looking to know? I probably don’t know anything important.” He lied.

Jude was wandering the festival grounds and meeting new people which was natural how he found the circle he just sat down in. He was playing bass and joined a group that had someone playing another instrument. Once the song ended everyone was in great spirits and introducing themselves.

Allistair had been working on a fringe case when he realized he was dealing with something that could very well be from Wonderland or some sort of fae realm. It was apparent that there could be a lot of trouble if he didn’t help whomever this was to flee.

He waited in the parking garage, hands in his pockets. “Hello? Are you here? Listen you gotta talk to me? I can help you but if this is solved by my team then it could end very badly. Let me help you. Please come out.”
