Nikolai Dubovsky, Silence Has Settled (1890)
Been having such an intense week i haven't posted in so long!! Must find time to admire the clouds
Such a STUNNING view while waiting for the bus!!
The moon and her altocumulus after some light rain🌧
The sky from a week ago!! If anyone knows the term for this kind of sunlight through clouds I would LOVE to know!! Google has offered me no help😭
There is some INSANE nimbostratus clouds out today. Wednesday seems to have adopted a penchant for raining hehehe🌧🫶
the clouds have been extra spectacular this week or I've just been outside more cuz of the cooler weather
°•○Running errands is always made more enjoyable with such an incredible sky in front of us○•°
All manner of clouds out today, as is often the case with such shape-changing phenomenas. A wall of casual cumulus and smatterings of altocumulus are holding the remainders of yesterday's rain
ℹ️Both of these cumulus are only mid-altitude clouds. Alto (meaning high) and cumulo (meaning gather).☁️
A photo from yesterday on my way home!! The wind was so strong and fresh that I stopped in the middle of crossing an (empty) road to watch them move across the sky.
Smaller cumulus clouds surrounding a big, shifting cumulonimbus that had soaked me and my thrift shopping at the bus stop☁️
ℹ️Cumulus clouds are the simple, most identifiable of clouds, combining to become cumulonimbus before and during storms. Cumulus (meaning gather) and nimbo (meaning rain)🌧
OP: so this is the ‘intense regional downpour’ on the weather forecast
I love when the weather says 'fuck you, get soaked,' to a single mile-wide or square-mile piece of land.
The view from my balcony is so good for cloudspotting I love it SO much!!
Have come post-storm stratocumulus and cumulonimbus clouds!! ☁️🌧
ℹ️ Stratocumulus and cumulonimbus are low-hanging clouds; strato (meaning layered), nimbo (meaning rain) and cumulo (meaning gather) are large clouds typically seen during and after storms.
I have a housemate who takes photos of the raptor birds they work with and they spent SO much money on a phone with good camera quality
As I take photos of clouds I'm beginning to understand their thought process -> I WANT TO TAKE HIGH QUALITY PHOTOS OF CLOUDS!!!!!
SO excited to be starting this blog, I love clouds!!
Here folks have some cumulonimbus and cirrocumulus clouds 🌧
ℹ️ Cumulonimbus and cirrocumulus are high-altitude clouds. Cumulo (meaning 'gather'), cirro (meaning 'curl') and nimbo (meaning 'rain') are large, thick spanning clouds you often see before, during and directly after a storm.
