âYeah I dunno. I just never really was a film person, I guess. Didnât have a TV and the one at the bar was always on football, so.â She let out a light shrug, unconcerned with her lack of popular culture knowledge. Sheâd learn it eventually. And, really, Americans were obsessed with all of that. It was certainly a change in attitude, so much so that Emerie tilted her head curiously at the other girl, a sly smile spreading across her lips at the underlying challenge. âNoted,â she said, nodding in affirmation and peaked curiousness. âWonât swipe the watch, got it.â
âRight, everyone from âacross the pondâ seems obsessed withâŚfootball - so Iâm sure itâs on almost anywhere and everywhere you look.â It was odd, referring to soccer as football even though Isla was well aware that was the case over in England and many other areas of the world, her mind much quicker to associate football with the American style.
Not liking the change of expression on the other Superâs face, Isla frowned as she made a note to always keep a good eye on her fatherâs watch. She couldnât exactly do anything âscaryâ powerwise to pose an obvious threat to anyone wanting to swipe it for any reason but if it were to happen, she was achieved enough to know how to make scary things occur with her ablities if she read up just the right thing. It wasnât even valuable, or even working properly, but she would fight for it as if it were the most priceless artifact. âItâs not even mine. It was my Dadâs." That wasn't exactly a threat or a warning against messing with it but the look that answered Emerie's sly expression probably was.
