I've never seen any pictures of Trip with his roots showing. He dyed his hair blonde to match Virus, but his hair has to grow out at some point and the red has to show through, even if just a little. If it's not too much trouble, could you draw it?

Mizuki took a slow breath and sighed “Tsk. I’m going to deal with it the same way I always do. That punk probably won’t exactly be up for your damn questioning if I deal with him too soon you know.” He rolled his eyes

"Yeah, yeah it is your concern; That’s why I had to tell you despite your lack of sense of humor, since Virus was occupied. It’s always a chore dealing with you." He sighed annoyed with the other trying to make himself more intimidating; he was acting like a puffer fish. The comparison made him smirk again

"Whatever. Usually the kid gets beat senseless and they get taught the exact reason not to do the shit they did. Whatever it takes to emboss it into their minds. Satisfied?" He leaned back watching the other watch him.

"You talk too much."

He cracked his neck with a slow, firm cant of his head to distract himself.  When people ran their mouths like that, it was all white noise buzzing and grating against the bone of his skull. It reminded him of a cloud of flies when they found a body to nest in. Such loud, obnoxious drumming of too many disgusting little wings. And his partner wasn't around to shoo them away.

"...Satisfied? Hm." His face was blank, his eyes lazy and cold. "It's better if I watch.  They have to know who they crossed when they tried to get up to trouble. Don't want things to get crazy." It didn't matter to Trip, really. He'd much rather be back home with Virus. At least that had the potential to be interesting. At least that wasn't senseless, stupid sound. And there was that bakery he could stop by on the way back. Doughnuts sounded especially good right now. He was in the mood for jelly-filled.

Trip nodded down the alley, a gesture for Mizuki to lead on. "Let's go. You'll show me now."

a nervous habit of hers that she’s developed since she’s gotten away from them— pushing her hair back, eyes downcast, a troubled expression at best on her face. she tries for a smile, but these two have terrified her for her entire life— she has every reason to want them to leave, immediately. what will granny do, if they take her again—? what will aoba do, or koujaku, or all the friends she’s made? how will she live? she can’t go back, she can’t, she can’t—

sei is at a loss for what to say, and her lips part briefly, before clamping shut again, unwilling to meet their (unfeeling, empty) eyes.

"i…" what is she supposed to tell them? that she doesn’t want to be their property? that she doesn’t belong to toue? all of the courage that she had built up since her freedom is suddenly gone, and she’s reverted back to the caged, scared animal she had been before. the hands fall from her skirt and her expression becomes the practiced mask of complacence. "…i’m just glad that you’re both… safe."

The two of them understand fear better than most emotions, especially in others. Virus doesn’t take long to catch its scent, though in Sei at least it seems rather extreme. Usually Sei had been too subdued physically to show this much blatant emotion, but he supposes that human beings tend to reflect their environments. Perhaps it was that. It doesn’t bother him, anyway.

"How considerate. But, really, Sei-san, we’re fine." Her fear, while admittedly quite funny, isn’t useful to them in the slightest, so Virus wastes no time changing gears to adopt a more welcoming smile. "That’s a beautiful skirt. You must have been shopping, hm?"

Trip can smell it too; the scent of fearful and trembling prey when it wants so badly to flee that its fragile little heart rattles its ribcage. He wrinkles his nose slightly, like it comes on strong in the air. Stronger than before, actually. Why is that? What does Sei have now that gives her more reason to fear? It's not interesting enough to provoke much thought from Trip, so he simply tucks it aside and keeps his head lazily cocked. Everyone smells like fear at some point, after all.

"Just fine," he echoes slowly, though his eyes follow the slackened grip of her hands. The change in wardrobe is more notable than her behavior, which is as routine as anything to him. So when Virus draws attention to it, he does the same. Not with words, though. Trip doesn't usually rely on words. He instead makes to casually circle around to stand behind her to get a better look. And when he does speak, he addresses Virus across her shoulder. "Looks like he's been busy while we've been away. All by himself, huh?"
