sooo maybe instead of rereading the manga in japanese (my plan) i dont skip to Hard Mode right away and just consider it a study where i compare the original + translation

#my brain works in a weird rigid way so challenging myself ends up being more complicated than it has to be

#wrt manga. its historical and the resources available to parse through it are genuinely not available some of the time #so i would need to get more into researching using sources that are also written in japanese #but the idea i got was to get in contact with the scanlator that did the prequel. i actually asked #but the head of the team said they were busy or something #but i think even finding the raws and comparing them to the translation would give me a lot of insight on how to handle stuff #what i was scared of was somebody else the team picking it up because i was taking so long but it seems like theyre really slow #so. nobody else is going to do it. id just need to reaffirm that im interested #i really enjoyed the translation i did do but i was spending hours on really elementary steps #and had no confidence in the final product and had nobody to proofread...#i need to be more assertive i suppose
