ok hi guys this is levi (@c0wpunk) in disguise. this is my ultra hyper super duper secret account about my horses & my continued experience as a horseman and cowboy. anyways check out my main acc for super cool and awesome fandom content & art

my main rodeo horse! hes absolutely not a project we're just having fun . we jump sometimes (bareback, not in a western saddle & i dont own an english saddle)

i do not and never will wear a helmet. i have incredibly bad sensory issues with anything touching my head & my brain freaks out to the point where im basically entirely useless. any pictures of you see of me in a hat are because it was part of the dresscode & straw hats dont bother me as much bc of the airflow. PLEASE do not comment on me not wearing a helmet. Im aware.

hi guys i apologize for rhe lack of posts im about 4 seconds away from keeling over from exhaustion .

been doing a lotof ground work with chase since eeyores out of commission. had one really nice ride with chase too, i figure he'll be hacking out solo by the time i stop having 14 million things to do . everyone say hi to my chud son, who is learning how to sidepass in hand without a halter and getting desensitized to being jumped on bareback

hes fine Btw hes been to the vet and has been given 2 shots of exceed (WHICH IS STUPID EXPENSIVE!!!! IF YOU DIDNT KNOW!!!! EEYORE STOP DOIGN THIS TO ME!!!) and will be back in work within the month

i cant believe that chase went from being a horse that i didnt trust at all & that would actively try to hurt me into a horse i can successfully call a barrel prospect and a fun horse to be around. im so proud of my spare parts pony

trying to navigate the english world after SO LONG as a western rider feels like playing minesweeper but if i dont put the flag on the right square they take me out back and execute me

put the first ride back on chase after 6mo. of no riding today!!!!!

he did great, like. Genuinely, he was a different horse than he was 6 months ago. He was soft & didnt try to bite, bolt, or anything else!! he does tend to put his head to the right when i ask him for a turn to the left but it seems like thats just a behavior that stems from not being rode for a while .

HES ALSO SECRETLY REALLY GOOD ON BARRELS???????? i took him around the pattern a few times because he was doing so well and like . this horse was getting around those barrels like no tomorrow. Absolutely insane.

i got eeyore a quarter sheet thats like??? also a fly sheet??? and its SO cool

eeyore doesnt mind it at all, its so light that i dont think he can really feel it all that much? he worked really well for our short ride today

look at his fancy little trot!!!!! i really love eeyores trot its so pretty

he also realized he had free will & could jump over the pole on the ground instead of the raised one

im so happy with how hes come along with jumping & under an english saddle & how much we have learned together in the past few months

heres some of the jumps we did where he actually went over the pole (not from the distance id like but over is over)

this isnt like a huge accomplishment for most people BUT eeyore is an uncoordinated roping bred horse with the worst procreception ive ever seen

i feel like ive been getting alot better at riding lately . Like i can actually get out of the saddle nice and post right in the english saddle . we were riding in a halter i jerry rigged into a bosal-style thingy and eeyore did great!!!

this jump came after a good flatwork session, i actually got eeyore using his body which is a huge win

anyways, i think ill be heading out to the arena saturday (maybe) to ride chase for the first time since. like, october. yes i am scared but we ball

because eeyore and i have been doing a good deal of flatwork lately, i thought it would be fun to put up a little jump for him!

it was not fun. I did not enjoy this.

this is exactly what happened, video is 3 seconds long .

hes absolutely fine btw, after this happened i very frantically dismounted and obsessively checked his legs and made sure nothing hurt . he was confused why i did that.

to end things on a good note, i asked him to go over a smaller jump and he did great!
