max and david curled up on the couch on halloween. its 1 am, max has already done his trick or treating and is currently consuming the spoils of his labor. he dressed as a zombie, or something similarly basic as to not suggest he cares too much abt dressing up, its only for acquiring candy. his makeup is smudged, his lips stained a blueish purple from the candy, and hes kicked off half of his costume.

david has on some lame green, purple, and orange halloween themed sweater, and a headband with pumpkins on it. he made some "healthy" treats he saw on pinterest, bananas cut into the shape of ghosts with a little chocolate face, peeled oranges with a piece of celery stabbed into the middle to look like little pumpkins, two apple slices stacked together with yogurt covered raisins in the middle to look like teeth, etc etc. hes very proud of them even though max burst out laughing when he saw them and said he hoped david didnt give them out instead of candy, "because if you did ur house is definitely getting egged tomorrow." (eventually max ate one banana-ghost out of sympathy)

max put on some horror movie of his choosing, david made the executive decision it was too scary halfway through, and they settled on the nightmare before christmas. max is slightly more agreeable than usual from the sugar, and he feels like he got to see david scream and probably shit himself enough to be satisfied. now the movies almost done, the light from the screen the only illumination in the room. max ended up laying on david's lap at some point, he's half asleep. david doesnt want to move and wake him up and cause him to move away, max is aware and letting it happen. he doesnt want to move either.
