You write a fanfic for each 'square' you'd like to mark for bingo, which has to be A Girl of Your Choice shipped with the name in the square. So if you got a square with Taylor, you'd write a fic of Any Girl/Taylor.
You mark 5 squares in a row (so five fics) either diagonally, horizontally, vertically, or four corners + free space (five squares total). This is bingo!
Characters must be worm/ward characters, not crossover characters. Fics must be complete/standalone entries (so it could be multiple "chapters" of a fic so long as each chapter is a completed fic.)

A: There will be 24 girl worm characters on each card and a free space/wildcard. The free space must also have a fic fill, (if you're claiming it for part of your bingo) but it can be girl/girl of your choice.
Q: Can I use genderbent characters?
A: Both/All characters used must be girls. They can be gender bent, trans, or 'always a girl', though. Heck, they can be hit with a gender transification beam by a stray tinker in the fic, so long as they're a girl.
Q: What counts as a girl? Can I write nonbinary people?
"Girl" is not always a binary thing, and is used loosely here. The femme part is the important part of femmeslash. So as long as you feel you're keeping with the spirit of the challenge, assume girl-adjacent identities are allowed (demigirl, femme nonbinary, femme-presenting genderqueer, he/him girls, gender fucked people that identify as WLW or fit into that space, etc).
Q: What does "best girl" mean?
"Best girl" is the free space, where you can pick whichever girl character you want.

I hope there’s an afterlife so that whoever made this pot 2,000 years ago can brag that their cookware is so good it’s still usable literally millennia later. Only 24 go on each card, so the cards themselves will NOT all be a re-order of the same names; there will be a tiny bit of variation. That said:

Rules:
The work must contain characters from the Parahumans series by Wildbow (Worm and Ward)—no crossovers or OCs for the ship.
Your chosen ship must have five or fewer works tagged on AO3 at contest start (November 13, 2025).
Try to keep it short, one-shots and small chaptered works are preferred but not mandatory.
All ratings and tags are allowed, smut is a go if you do desire. Just make sure to tag it properly.

What counts as winning the challenge?
This is a challenge, not a contest. There are no 1st place trophies. If you post a completed thing (to the collection), you win.
What if posting my fic makes "6" tags in the pairing?
That's fine, as long as there were 5 or less before Nov 13
What if there was a 6th tag in the pairing published after Nov 13th or before I finished my fic?
That's fine, as long as there were 5 or less before Nov 13
If I write a multiship/multiple pairing fic, such as polysiders, does it count as a rarepair?
The multiship tag must be a rarepair. For instance if you write Alec/Taylor/Lisa, there are 0 fics in the tag, so it counts, even if Smugbug has 400 fics.

Basically, the only rule is that it has to be Worm, and it can't be AI. Everyone is welcome. The format is set up that you have three options for each day, not that you have to try to fit each day's prompts together in one piece. So Day 1 could be Kissing, Medical or Edging as options, and you pick the prompt you want.
There are alternate prompts at the bottom to use if the day's prompts are all bad for you.
Hey, quick question about the 2025 Kinktober! The text writeup and the image given / shown on Ao3 are very different. All the prompts are the same in total but their places in the list are swapped or mixed around: 14 and 15, 16 and 25, 13-22-23, 27 and 28, 29 and 31. Which order (text v. image) is the preferred one, if it matters to anybody? :V
Thank you for letting me know! The image went through some minor revisions as people noticed issues, so I bet what happened is the text version wasn't updated to match the final image!!!

Fun extra thing. Tiers. Instead of having a high wordcount minimum, we went with an achievement system like a video game. It's:
Bronze-1,000 words.
Silver- 3,000 words
Gold- 7,000 words
Platinum- 10,000 words
Diamond- 15,000 words
Bloodstone- 20,000 words
At the end we'll announce winners at each tier. And maybe do some extra achievements like we did last time, longest fic, most fics for the challenge, best Alec representation, etc.
Last day for this challenge! We take submissions any time between now and the last timezone on earth where it's still 31 August.
However, by popular request (everyone fucking forgor) it looks like we'll extend it out a week. You've now got until 07 September.
