is it worm which dreams it is a moth, or a moth dreaming that it is worm?

drawings from before and after implementing basic line stabilization. i generally like to turn smoothing down as much as i can, but it turns out the artist's hand isn't the only source of shakiness in the input data — hardware isn't completely accurate, and the limited precision of pixel coordinates will create some narsty jagged artifacts if you just draw lines from A to B.
