Reagan heard a small commotion Infront of his kitchen window, not far from the street.

Upon further inspection, he saw a child kneeling on the ground, clutching tightly to a small bag as three older boys tried to pull it away from him, the young boy's wheelchair having been knocked over beside them.

He'd gotten of work only a bit ago, having enough time to change out of his uniform and start making food for both him and his daughter, Thea. She was, as expected, excitable as ever, even with their new, well, newish puppy, Storm.

He glanced up as he heard the commotion, glancing out the window. Shit, bunch of asshole kids. "Thea, you stay here with Storm, alright?" He sternly muttered, setting down her plate of food. He'd make his whenever he got back.

"Course, Papa!" She happily chirped, not entirely aware as to why her father was suddenly tense. He didn't respond to her reply, a cigarette already dangling between his lips as he slipped out the door. He flicked the lighter open, second nature by that point to light a cigarette without even holding it.

"Hey!" He shouted, glaring daggers at the kids, a look of pure distain on his face.

The older boys flinched, The Younger Lad turning his head to look at Reagan, desperation evident in his teary eyes.

"Quick! mission Abort! Abort!" The boys scattered, running away from the neighborhood cop and letting go of Danny's bag, Danny hugging it tightly to his chest as he sobbed silently for a few moments, burying his face on his bag's fabric.

An audible sigh escaped Reagan. Even when off the clock, he couldn't seem to escape his job. He strolled up to the kid, squatting down beside him.

"Hey... you alright?" He gently asked, smiling softly at him to appear less threatening.

The young boy nodded, his frail frame trembling in fear as his hands clutched the bag tightly, glancing over to his wheelchair and checking it slightly if it had any other damages which thankfully it did not.

"Thank you Sir..." Danny bowed his hand gratefully, Thankful that someone came to help him from those bullies.

"No need for the 'sir' stuff, kid." He shook his head, standing up to go and grab the wheelchair. "I just did what any reasonable person would do."

Reagan blew a small bit of smoke out, bringing the wheelchair closer to the kid. "What's your name, kid?" He carefully questioned, ready to make a mental note about him.

Danny nodded to his statement, he was doubtful of that, not many cared enough to interfere when Danny is getting bullied, only very few. 'Not my Circus, not my monkeys' Mentality that dug deep in the brains of gothamites.

"D-Danny..." He spoke softly, slowly but struggling a bit to raise his body to sit in the wheelchair, he was tired, very tired and his sister was not yet home.

"Danny." He smiled gently, helping him settle into the wheelchair. "Need help getting home, kid?" He offered. Sure, it'd take time out of his time with Thea, but Reagan knew she could handle herself, even at her relatively young age.

"N-No! It's alright sir! I can get myself home just fine... I can't go home yet anyways.." Danny sighed softly, a bit wary and anxious of this kind gesture, he wasn't used to it. It made a shiver run down his spine, the paranoia and endless possibilities running through his head.

Reagan frowned slightly. "My door is always open." He nodded towards his apartment building. "Fair warnin, though, got a rambunctious little puppy in there, so watch out." He chuckled, trying to lighten Danny's spirit.
