Sorry about the inactivity.
Here’s the deal, guys. I don’t know how much longer I can keep these muses around when they come and go like this. Ethan hardly ever speaks up unless I’m writing with certain people, but even then, his voice is quiet and it’s a goddamn struggle to get him to cooperate. Jeanette and Lincoln are almost total duds. Allison is there, somewhat, but it’s really hard to make her talk.
I don’t know if this has to do with the environment I’m in right now or if there’s something wrong with my head, and I’m sorry that I keep making you guys wait for replies and then never dish them out like I’m supposed to. I keep trying and trying to make myself write, and I just can’t. Every time I force it, the muse goes completely quiet.
For the time being, this is going to be my indefinite hiatus announcement with an explanation. I may be here some days, I may not. I may be really spotty on all my accounts, depending on who speaks up and who doesn’t. Heck, I may not be on an account for weeks, but it’s better than getting on and giving you guys fuck-all when I know I could have written a better response.
I read somewhere that trying to force a muse to cooperate is the quickest way to kill them. I also read somewhere that you can’t make yourself write prose if your head isn’t really in it. Some of you know me from back in the day, when I used to dish out four or five paragraphs of just dialogue with an additional two or three of prose — I really wish I could do that again.
A re-watch of Teen Wolf and Prison Break may be in order? I don’t know. But I’ll figure out something. I really enjoy playing these characters and I’ve had Ethan for around a year now, so I really really really don’t want to let him go.
I have a brand-spanking new OC whose muse, surprisingly, isn’t flaky, so I’ll be there until I can round up all these other fools.
'Til then. x
