Tongmu Jin Jun Mei with cherries. This tea has a slick, coating texture and lovely fragrance that reminds me of wildflowers. Malt, cinnamon, and honeyed flavors. My cat Lexi took interest while I was taking this photo. If you look carefully you can see she left her touch on my gaiwan (cat hair.)
you know I was a migratory bird once
Just curious, in the future would anyone be interested in collabing together on a free printable zine about tea? I'm thinking mixed media- so anything from photography, recipes, poems, illustrations, etc? Alternatively, would you be interested in reading this?
I'm a simple man/woman who appreciates nice packaging and handwritten notes. Recently I've sipped some tasty stuff grown in Wuyi, which peaked my interest in tea from this region. Old Ways Tea specializes in Wuyi so I'm very excited to try these black teas from them. They also sent a Shui Xian oolong sample which I brewed up as soon as it was unboxed. The medium roast gave the leaves a very pretty color. Shui Xian was slightly too astringent for my taste but the flavors were very layered, which made it interesting to brew and taste.

Toki Pona is an invented language with just a little over 100 words. Designed with simplicity in mind, it relies on creating new words by combining existing ones. It's quick to learn and has only 14 basic sounds, chosen to be easy to pronounce for anyone regardless of their linguistic background. I highly recommend giving it a try! Toki pona makes it easy to express complex things using very little. I'm drinking Beebe from white2tea today while I clean up my notes for better reference (and handwriting practice.) Fittingly, this tea has some hard to describe notes!

Smooth Water Baozong at the park. It was hot today, but drinking such a light tea while sitting in the shade was resfreshing. Taking a thermos of hot water is a convenient way to make tea while out and about.

Ahh, I love plant-green.

Planted flowers with my mom, then we sat outside and enjoyed a cup of Alishan Black. She likes this tea a lot for it's grapefruit flavor.
Back in 1942, when making a bad cup of tea may have been grounds for a divorce…
New copypasta just dropped
You see 👁 teas grown in hot 🌞 valleys ripen too fast ⏩ so they taste FLAT. But Lipton 🗃 uses teas 🌳 grown on cooler🍦slopes…teas that ripen SLOW 🕑 and gain rich FULL flavor 😄 This special flavor ☕ has made Lipton 🗃 America’s 🇺🇸 largest selling tea.
i will say the funniest thing i’ve ever fucking seen on a tv soap is when my mum was watching holby city (british medical drama) many many years ago and there was this one really arrogant anaesthetist and he was bragging about something or other while holding a charged defibrillator pad in each hand and triumphantly clapped them together and just straight up electrocuted himself and fucking died. it was supposed to be like a serious scene but nothing i’ve ever watched since has surpassed that level of comedy
it’s so much fucking funnier than i remember
