Maul was a terrible brother to Savage let’s all just face it!!! AND YET (and this is what makes me ill and crazy) Savage loved him so much anyway. And Maul loved Savage too. Healthy love? Heck no. But it was still there.

One of Savage’s first reactions upon seeing his tormented & babbling & insane little brother was protective rage—so much so that he murdered Morley right then and there because he believed that Morley had done horrible things to Maul!! And even when Maul was incoherent and unable to understand anything around him, Savage still rescued him. He still talked to him like a person. He still wanted his brother. He still loved him y’know.

And they never left each other’s side until Savage’s death. They stuck together!!! BECAUSE THEY ARE BROTHERS. AND THEY CARE ABOUT EACH OTHER. They went to a diner together. Did you know that. It’s canon. They also committed crimes at the diner. Maul treated Savage quite terribly but he still loved him and wanted him. His entire face fell when he saw what Sidious did to him. His lips quivered a bit. He immediately stopped fighting and ran to his brother and knelt beside him and held his hand. Held his hand. And he grieves him always after that.
