âI think you already owe me something from the last time you defiled my garden. So I would tread carefully.â Wren responded playfully, the pun intended. âHonestly, I just find myself too busy, or rather distracted, with the park.â Wren admitted, âIâm guilty of losing track of time out there, by the time I get home, itâs a little late for gardening.â He laughed faintly. âBesides, my help is limited at home, at the park I have my groundskeepers to help most of the time.â
âStill salty about that, hm?â Augustine grinned, although he did feel a bit bad. âAnything I can do to make it up to you? Another drink perhaps?â
âMm. I think Iâve had enough to drink for one night,â Wren said, he could tell that from the faint blur to everything around him, âButâŠâ Wren paused, glancing down to Augustineâs arms, âI could perhaps use a hand with some gardening. There are some trees Iâve been meaning to put in, but theyâre quite large.â
The wolf smirked, one eyebrow quirking curiously. âIs this you asking for my help then?â
âThink of it as me claiming my compensation for the damages.â Wren replied with a playful smile. Perhaps he wouldnât have been quite as forward without the wine in his system, sometimes he thought he had left that particular personality trait somewhere in the middle of his life span. âBut, yes⊠some help would be nice.â The elf conceded, tilting his head. âWhat do you think?â
