earth day | kassandros & makena
āIs it?ā Makena asked, looking entirely serious as she asked Kass if murder was really that bad and a silence hung in the air for a moment before she broke out laughing.Ā āIām kidding. I suppose it isā¦ā Although now that the witch was experimenting with necromancy and the forces of death, the idea of it somehow did not seem entirely horrible.Ā āWhat if the murdering is done on a bad guy though?ā
āYou are definitely my favourite, Kassy!ā she grinned. Kassandros was one of her oldest friends and Makena really appreciated that about him because he let her get away with so many things and even covered for her when things got rough. As far as she knew, he was the only one who had not run for the hills yet and for some reason, she needed the comfort of that right now, especially after all the drama from the past few months.Ā āWeāre ride or die, my good friend.āĀ

For a second, his determination waivered just slightly before she cracked. āOh ha ha,ā he said, rolling his eyes when a smile broke across her face.Ā āMost of the time itās bad to murder. There are some exceptions,ā he said, able to agree on that one. The question of life and death was a little feeble when there were demons and deities and vampireās that never died unless killed.Ā āI think murdering a bad guy is understandable.ā God knew if Kassandros got the chance, heād kill his uncle. It didnāt matter if it was seen as good or bad, heād still kill that man.
āAnd you know youāre mine,ā he echoed, even if it sounded like she was teasing him. Makena was one of his longest lasting friends in the city, something that Kass didnāt have many of. They had grown in their magical endeavors together as well as getting their businesses started. Despite whatever the future showed her, Makena would always have him on her side.Ā āPreferably the ride part but if you get your necromancy skills up, it can stay ride and no to the dying.āĀ
