Do you not like the cast?

I like the books. I’m not a fan of the film adaptation, but it’s still nostalgia for me. I’m not one to sugar coat what I think. Bonnie/ Ginny hate has been there for years and when I read the silly reasons some of these people hate on her for, I’m confused. Obvi to each their own, but 90% of it is seriously the most garbage reasons I’ve seen. Btw, I do like the cast - not all.

well joke's on you because I like Bonnie Wright and I thought she did well with what little she was given. What I have an issue is of fans insulting any of the actors to raise up the one they like. be it emma/bonnie/dan/rupert,etc. It's petty and childish. They All (Including emma- who was praised by helena bonhan carter) have their good things and bad things and pretending none of them had good things or flaws is being deluded.

Again, how is me pointing out none of them were the shit putting Bonnie up on a pedestal? Why. Just because I have an opinion on the cast and that apparently I don’t share the same thoughts as Helena Bonhan Carter I’m deluded? Girl bye. My point was to stop stamping Bonnie as the only bad one out of the big seven.

How can you say Emma is a bad actress when Bonnie is worse.

Where tf did I say Bonnie was better than Emma? Granted I’ve seen more potential from Bonnie post Harry Potter in her other roles than ahem…  the latter, however I’m more inspired by Bonnie’s line of work as a director and her charity work.

additionally, I don't know about Bonnie, but Dan Radcliffe didn't got picked because he was 'cute', he got picked because in JKR words 'was like watching my son on screen' beating thousands upon thousands for the role. so clearly the director saw something worthy. I get than Dan/Emma/etc fans are shitheads to bonnie, but that's no reason to be a shithead to the Actors when it's the fans that are the problem

Uh no. Where did I insult either Dan or Emma - which I used them only as examples. I said the majority of the younger cast weren’t so talented either. Also no shade, I’m not a fan of Emma Watson’s acting so I’m not going to praise her in any sense, and like I said in my previous message, Dan has improved post-Potter and his strive is what I like.

How is it that you can understandably label movie!ginny's shortcoming as 'blame the direction and script' (which is True) but then you talk about the other actors (Do you in your heart believe Daniel Radcliffe nailed Harry’s character to a T? Do you really stay in denial that Emma Wason’s eyebrows did Hermione justice?) as personal flaws in how they played the characters? they ALL got screwed by script and director and saying it was just bonnie is Bullshit.

I can’t take you seriously if you’re trying to defend Emma’s acting. As for Daniel he improved in his crafts post-Potter. I can’t fault the script for the others as they had more screen time, and I know the Trio were the main characters, but don’t sit there and tell me that they executed the books portrayal flawlessly into the films e.g. Yates obsession with Emma and giving her most of the lines. So yes. I’m still faulting the direction and script for Ginny because it was trash. I’m sure if Hermione had to tie Ron’s shoe laces you’d be side-eyeing it to. What I don’t get is why everyone else is off the hook, but Bonnie gets severely bashed. If you say they ALL got screwed by the script, why do I not see any criticism on them? Hm exactly. 90% of the hate from the fandom is directed at Ginny/ Bonnie.

Why are ya’ll so pressed about pointing out Bonnie wasn’t the best Ginny? Do you honestly think the other cast members were any better? Do you in your heart believe Daniel Radcliffe nailed Harry’s character to a T? Do you really stay in denial that Emma Wason’s eyebrows did Hermione justice? Do you absolutely, and truly believe that Bonnie was the worst of them all? Wake up. 

This isn’t me wanting to bash the cast, but collectively they weren’t the best actors. They were children hired to do a film because they looked cute as kids. Speaking of Ginny, her entire character was OOC in the films (e.g. tying Harry’s shoe laces), and the lines she did have wasn’t of any substance to her character in the books. Even I admit that Ginny in the films could have been more. Hell, should have been more, and if her scenes weren’t so limited, maybe Bonnie wouldn’t have come off as disliked by the fandom. Blame the direction and script.

My day-to-day work is storytelling. I wake up wanting to tell a story. Essentially, I was introduced to it before I even became an actress. That desire to tell a story was something I loved as a kid. Recounting things, or putting on little performances. I was a very curious child. The collaboration of film making was something I instantly fell in love with.

Going back to that idea of film being a medium that’s here forever, I want to leave behind stories that make people feel connected with everyone else, and not left alone, or make them question something further. I want to make stories that make you understand someone else. I want to leave behind film that makes people feel a part of something greater, and makes them feel important.
