We did it!

i so excited to post some doodles from this quarter teehee, i have a few that i literally looove hehe

whenever finals get crazy i love taking my sketchbook and making mini comics and doodles of my sona in situations, as i believe most of us do. love seeing bug guy in situations thats LITERALLY me.

anyways here's my fave piece of the quarter with my professor who literally hated me for half of it LOL. maybe ill go back and render it, if i still care lulz

i miss my nan's house

feeling a sense of deep pain and despair that makes me yearn for the 3pm soft sun and tall pines of my grandmothers old house.

i want to curl up with my grandfather's chilly quilt and their huge comforter on their couch that was never fully comfortable, have some episode of tom&jerry or spongebob on, and have my grandmother play with my hair until i fall asleep, light barely catching me through their blinds.

i want to run around with my brother in her front yard, bike and play games. i want to sit on her screened in porch and run down the stairs to hug the large trees that sat alongside the golf course.

i want to play hide and seek with my cousins in their maze of a house that now, in retrospect, feels so small. i want to sit in the yellow room, the one at the very top of the house, and smell the old wood and fresh sheets and look out of the circular window into the street and sea of southern pines and tall grass and just, distance.

i miss that house, but i also just miss the comfort of being a kid in that house.

been drawing a lot in my sketchbook lately.. The universe has a taste and a smell to me sometimes. its like how you can sense its going to rain, yknow? Right now i sense that the direction i am going, i wont get a job. i didnt lock in when i needed to, i was close to the sun and felt it. alas, but i am okay with this right now. maybe tomorrow i wont be, but thats tomorrow and today is today! im also young, my elders know more than me, so im going to listen to them. and do my own thing of course, thats what im about.

my life is kinda changing fast, but its also really slow because its winter. it feels like im playing with kinetic sand and wathcing it just move through my fingers as i pick it up and play with it more.

that has nothing to do with the art of course, enjoy a lil collage of some doodles from my sketchbook i did this january

I want to draw and I’m trying really hard

9 minute nap

i think one of my personal superpowers is being able to nap in any location, at any time, for any duration of time.

the best example was today, at around 2:30. I had t o get up at 2:40 to walk to work, and i was sitting in the lobby area of my school's dining hall. i knew realisitically that taking a nap would be slightly impossible, but i wasn't not going to let myself rest. its like a call to the earth below when my body tells me to sleep.

so i set my alarm to 9 minutes and literally i was OUT. i had a dream too, i was listening to music and feeling my body start to tug into sleep when i woke back up. i think when people were shifting back in the day, it was just whatever type of nap i had then was. and i felt SO rested btw, like i slept 8 hours (which I tend to do anyways)
