Dialogue Prompt #4
“What occurred in your childhood that made you stop believing in peppermints?”
The hardest thing about being a writer...
Having all the balls up in the air and having to think about the end while you’re still writing the beginning. Because if you don’t do it now, you’re going to have fifty plot holes and fail to set up and foreshadow what’s going to happen.
Dialogue Prompt #4
“If they made cookies that good, I would chain them in my basement, too.”
Dialogue Prompt #3
“What are you, a Transformer?”
“Do I look like a robot to you?”
Dialogue Prompt #2
“How did your pancake turn into a carnival treat?”
Dialogue Prompt #1
“Where are we? Wait... Is this my grandparents’ crypt?”
“...I thought you’d feel more at home.”

1893: Conan Doyle releases “The Final Problem” and fans revolt so heavily that he is forced to bring the detective back from the dead.
2017: Moffat and Gatiss release “The Final Problem” and fans are revolting against it being the end...
Sherlock returns?
Immortalized: the exact moment that Spock realizes he’s gonna have to wear a suit.
I don’t know why, but the guy in the suit Kirk’s talking to looks like a Batman villain...
The medallion dropped with a thump against her small chest. Father had often said that one could see a man’s soul through his eyes. Her fearful child-like face reflected the carnage of Father’s citadel, the blood flowing across the clean castle floors and dead eyes staring at the freshly-painted ceiling. The haunting past of young maids’ dying screams and the weeping children were silenced by the prison door swinging open. Conell stepped back.
Hidden Secrets by Kim Kouski
So, the other day my brother and I were watching Captain America: The Winter Soldier while my mom sat nearby reading. We got into a huge discussion about Bucky and how tragic his story is and how amazing the writers were to think of it, etc. Etc. Etc. From the seat nearby, at the height of our discussion, our mother suddenly asked us: “Who the heck is Bucky?”
We lost it.
(P.S. she was serious, too. She really didn’t know who he was. That only made it better.)
