Oh boy I can't wait to see the season premiere of 'My Mom Sold Me To One Direction', that one's a true classic
Hey theres like one thing I do think is a bit uncomfortable about this. A lot of times the fanfiction or fiction in general could be made by kids or people who were kids at the time. That alone is really scummy... taking work someone might have made as child. Even with adults some of these people probably have no idea they signed the rights away to their work possibly by publishing on wattpad. This means the writers of the fanfiction are probably not being compensated and their hard work is being taken by companies who have the money to pay writers (including them). As an online content creator this should make people a bit uneasy? What if other companies by fiction publishing sites and make your work theirs? Do we even know if they will credit for the writing theyre making into movies? Writing is a job and the writers who write fanfiction deserve fair treatment. IF paramont can afford to buy wattpad's cooperation they can afford to pay writers who made the original pieces theyre taking Read your TOS and also if youre a writer on Wattpad please consider finding another place to publish. (If anyone knows resources that don't writers don't give up the right to their writing when publishing online please leave links)
Another addition even if they are paying writers its likely theyre using this to bypass the writers union and pay unfair wages
