Shinjiro rolled on his heels and turned to face her. He hadn’t the faintest clue who she was (he’d never seen her before), but the way she carried herself told him she was one of the people working at the shop. The first thing he noticed...

Were there any particular upgrades he wanted? No, not really. He wanted a generic one that would make the weapon itself a little easier to use. "Not particularly," he said. "Just do what you can". He was in a bit of a hurry with it, though, which could potentially limit what she could do with it. Not that he minded. As long as there were some obvious fixes then it was money well spent. He wasn't doubting her abilities as he knew better than to think females lacked the knowledge on weaponry. It would have been a little ironic since a female was the one that had come up with the use and purpose of it.

"Can you have it done by Wednesday?"

While Cam went to eating the soup, he still continued to watch Totsuka. He watched as the other, went to cleaning up the broken glass. Cam felt alittle bad, mostly because he had made the mess in the first place. And he thought about getting up,...

Upon removing the piece of paper, he turned to put it in the bin. The cut itself was barely visible by now, what with the skin having folded in on itself. Like he'd said to Cam before, it wasn't much of an issue. He could tell it was to him, though, what with this being the first time he'd experienced anything of the sort. He'd experience cuts like those for himself, no doubt, and he would understand what he meant by harmless.

"All finished?" he muttered pleasantly.

While Cam went to eating the soup, he still continued to watch Totsuka. He watched as the other, went to cleaning up the broken glass. Cam felt alittle bad, mostly because he had made the mess in the first place. And he thought about getting up, and helping. Though he thought it better, to finish his food first. It was after he had finished eating, that he saw Totsuka get up and go to the sink. Cam being curious, got up from where he was sitting and followed.

Of course he pulled a face, when he saw the blood. Even though he didn’t understand, what it was at that moment. He couldn’t ask either, since he didn’t know how to speak. What he did do though, was take Totsuka’s hand, He stared at the cut for a moment, before looking up at the other. The look on his face was a cross between, curiosity and confusion.

A cut as small as that wasn't much of an injury at all, and he didn't hesitate in informing him as such. It resembled more of a paper-cut than anything, and he was surprised to see the bleeding had lasted as long as it had. "It's alright," he said, removing his hand from Cam's grasp so to tear some of the paper from the roll beside him. Dabbing at the cut soaked up most of the blood, and when he was sure the bleeding had stopped he removed the paper and showed it to him. "See? All gone."

Somehow our characters get into a playful wrestling match. Send me a △ and my character will react to feeling yours has become… excited.

It’d all been over a small comment, harmless really as was their playful fight. A comment how Saoirse insisted she was not ticklish anywhere, which was a complete lie as she was in fact ticklish everywhere. It had been a comment that had sparked a playful air in the man and it hadn’t been long before she was pinned beneath him in fits of giggles, her body squirming and moving against his own in attempts to get away. In midst of trying to get away, Saoirse had somehow managed to push the two of them off the couch and onto the floor and with her on top of him, she felt herself at an advantage. That was, until she felt something pressing against her thigh.

First would come a look of confusion, Dojima seemed to have frozen as well and as Saoirse looked down her lips would part slightly in realisation. Her green eyes would blink, neither disgusted nor shocked but perhaps a little… curious? 

"Oh…" And that was all that she could really say, though she made no move to get away from him.

Saoirse saying she wasn't ticklish made him want to prove her wrong. Everyone was ticklish SOMEWHERE (of this he was certain) and a little bit of playfulness never hurt anybody. After warning her of his plans and hearing her dismiss it as 'You wouldn't dare', he proceeded to setting them in motion. It wasn't that complicated at all. If anything, it was as simple as reaching for any area that was exposed and within his reach. Once their little game began, there was no stopping them. Rolling about the couch and floor hadn't bothered him in the slightest, and the first hint of hesitation was noted when she landed herself on top of him.

Were circumstances to have differed and luck to have been on his side, Saoirse wouldn't have noticed the outcome of their little shenanigans. Not even HE knew how it happened, as she was the first person he'd reacted to in such a way since the death of his wife. He wasn't thinking of her right then, though, as the weight applied to his waist was a good enough distraction and effectively pushed all negativity aside. There was a part of him that prayed she wouldn't notice; just as there was another part of him that wished for the opposite. When she commented on it, however, awkwardness ensued.

"...That's not what you think it is," he tried. Ah, but it was. He just wished it hadn't been.

He looked good and it was clear that the other was interested. No he just had to make sure he didn’t say anything too stupid. “No harm done” the Irishman would say as his eyes flickered back up to Kanji’s own “And believe me you’re welcome to stay”. With this, Rage would give one long and tantalising stroke to his throbbing erection, a small grunt sounding from him as he did so. 

"Like what you see, Lad?" he’d ask, a smug grin on his face.

Indeed, he very much liked what he saw. That was a hard thing to admit, believe it or not, as he’d spent most of his time denying any attraction to the same sex. As he stood before Rage and observed his inviting actions, he couldn’t help but feel slightly aroused himself. He wasn’t sure whether he wanted to hide or show it, though, as the last thing he needed was to have a lawsuit filed against him. His visit had been for something as simple as getting an autograph, after all.

It soon became clear to him that their intentions were the same. Rage’s question stunned Kanji into silence; mouth gaping as he attempted to regain his composure. A faint blush formed and spread; a result of acknowledging the fact he’d been exposed. Whether he chose to lie about what he wanted or not, it didn’t change the fact he’d spent a good few moments staring.

"I do…" he said. "I was kind of wondering if I could, uh…" a pause, during which he cleared his throat. "Ah, fuck it. Let me help ya." And with that, he would step into the van and close the door behind him.

Once inside, Kanji removed his jacket. Doing so allowed him to move his arms more freely, and he turned to face Rage who appeared to be waiting for him to begin. Though it was his first time attempting something like this, he wanted to give it his all. Rubbing his hands together to warm them, he got down on his knees. What he had in mind was obvious, and he extended a hand to place a few solid strokes himself. A soft sigh sounded from him at the feeling of the retreating flesh, and he let his thumb trace the area just beneath the head. He would keep this up for a few moments before letting himself go; the tip of his tongue soon coming into contact with the salty flesh underneath.

Groaning softly, he let his tongue trace a fine line upwards. Still firmly holding the base, he leaned himself forth so that his lips could lock around the head before suckling. He worked the same area for a few moments before taking him in some more; stopping only when he felt he could he'd gone as far as he could. His head began to bob up and down; both his hands finding the edges of the bed before him. He was perfectly content with where he was, and he hoped Rage was too.

"No problem," he reassured, standing there for a moment or two before nodding conclusively. He didn't see why he should stay. Turning around, he'd make his way out the door and would pause to close it behind him. Now alone in the darkness of the corridor, he took a moment to check up on Nanako before going back downstairs. Something told him he wouldn't be there when she got up, and he didn't feel like waking her. He'd told Saoirse what to do if that was the case, so he trusted everything would be alright.

A small hint of a frown would appear on Saoirse’s face as he mentioned Nanako’s smile. She had already sensed the sadness, although well hidden, in the male before her. To think that this little girl felt it too, the thought weighed heavy in her chest. But she couldn’t think of it too much. She was to stay until the morning, her foot would probably be good enough to walk on by then and then she would have to be quite quick in leaving town. As much as she wanted to help both Nanako and her father, it wasn’t her place nor could she afford to make such a mistake. If she fed then she would be lit up on every banshee radar within the area and though she had heard little about them… she had heard them at night. Wailing. A few people had even commented on how they were losing sleep because of it.

Her frown would disappear the moment Dojima looked back to her, her usual smile plastered onto her face like a pale mask. “Well, it’s a pleasure to meet you Dojima” she’d say with a smile as he approached her “Though I do wish we’d met under better circumstances”. With this, she would take a hold of his forearms and with his help, pull herself up. “I think I can manage…” she’d attempt to smile at him in reassurance but the moment her injured foot touched the ground she would gasp softly, a sharp and throbbing pain running throughout it.

It wasn't too hard to manage, but he noted how cold she was a second time. "Bear with me," he said. "This will make things a little easier." 

Walking up the stairs wasn't half as hard as he'd thought it would be. Assisting her would have been more difficult if they'd both been walking, and a part of him was glad he decided to do otherwise. He would approach the room and nudge it open with his foot, placing her down once the two of them were inside. Straightening himself up, he would clear his throat and straighten himself up; dusting off his clothes so that he looked presentable. "There we go," he said. "Safe and sound." Then, he paused, taking a look around before clapping his hands conclusively. "Whelp," he began. "Might as well say goodnight."

"Don’t worry about it," he said. "If anything, I’m surprised Nanako got the washing done today. The weather’s been horrid." A pause. "You could get changed in the coat room down here. Either that, or I could help you upstairs so you could get some rest after having...

Dojima noted the sideways glance towards the pictures and nodded a little in agreement. "That's her," he said. "Heaven knows, I haven't seen her smile like that in years." Truth was, he missed that side to her. Since her mother's death, though, a lot had been going on. He was so taken with his work that he hardly had time to spare, so Nanako was left to her own devices. She was incredibly mature for her age and Yu had taken note of that himself. He felt guilty that she had to experience tending to the house herself. If anything, Yu's arrival had been a blessing.

"Right," he said. "I must have forgotten too. I'm Dojima." He'd miss out on being a local detective and all of the sort. He didn't want to go into detail about what he did and whatnot. "Let's get you upstairs," he'd state, approaching to try and help her back onto her feet. "Think you can make it up the stairs?"

Saoirse would wait several moments after the man had disappeared before letting out a quiet sigh of relief. That had been quite close. If the man knew anything more about Ireland then he would have realised that temperatures didn’t get that cold but it seemed the explanation she had given was good enough for him to buy it. Just as well that she had an excellent poker-face, it seemed her charms as a maid hadn’t failed her. She used to think her accent was rather annoying also, no matter where she went it never fully left her. But in this case it had been useful in persuading the male of her lie. 

As she sat waiting, she would drink a little more of her water before setting it down on the table in front of her and looking around. The house was fairly small but it felt… nice. It was the type of place that Saoirse only wished she could have. But given her situation she could never stay in one place for too long. Though she was capable of disguising herself as a human by weakening her powers there was only so long she could go without feeding. And when she did, she would have to move on again. A soft sigh would escape her again as her green eyes fell upon the few photos that sat around and a certain sadness would overtake her gaze. It was as her eyes fell upon a certain little girl in the photos that it would become strongest however and a saddened smile would etch on her features. 

Her head would lift again as she heard the other’s footsteps and she would be quick to hide the sadness from her gaze and she would stand carefully to take the clothes and towel from him. “Thank you, these will do fine” she’d smile gently at him before “Where shall I change into these?”.

Either that, or I could help you upstairs so you could get some rest after having changed." Either way, he was going to have to get some sleep. He was starting work in a few hours and he was knackered. Visiting crime scenes after having gotten little to no shut-eye wasn't very pleasant. His senses kicked into overdrive and he gave into pressure. It wasn't him that paid for that, though. If anything, it was his partner. 

"Also, you might happen to run into my daughter and nephew in the morning. If I'm gone before they wake up then they might not know you're here. Tell them you're a friend of mine. Nanako will take care of you."

This was going to be hard to explain. But, if Saoirse was good at anything, it was thinking on her feet and she would busy herself by taking a sip of water as he spoke. Though it was only a short amount of time, it gave her enough to think of something to say in response without looking like she hesitated. Part of being a fugitive, was learning how to mask everything and her expression would be completely serene before folding into one of confusion also, then realisation. As old as she was, acting was easy and she would swallow what water she had in her mouth before she smiled and laughed melodically in return. “Am I?” she’d ask before shaking her head softly “I suppose I’m so used to such horrible weather that I didn’t even notice. I’m from Ireland you see, there’s barely ever a time when it’s not raining”. This, judging by her accent -as light as it was- could be completely true. 

"I’ve got thick skin it seems" she’d tilt her head with a smile that radiated her features and she would take another sip of water. It was a lie mixed in with truth, a lie hard to detect but she had a feeling this man was a little more switched on than most. She needed to distract him in someway and the sodden white streak in her hair slipped down her shoulder as she moved she would smile sheepishly as she thought of something. "I… don’t suppose I could bother you for a towel?" she’d ask, looking back to where she was sitting and looking apologetic "I’m getting your couch all wet". How was he supposed to sleep on a wet couch? Now she really did feel apologetic.

"Ah," said Dojima, visibly relieved. He didn't know much about Ireland, but he'd seen enough reports to know it could get quite cold over there. Was it possible for the weather to affect one in the long-run? Perhaps. Either way, he couldn't be the judge of that. As much as he may have wanted to as a child, he didn't have the grades nor patience to pursue science. If she claimed to be fine and she looked it too then chances are she was. He didn't plan on pursuing matters further. What he did plan on doing, though, was to head upstairs and fetch her that towel she requested. He mentally scolded himself at having forgotten - no wonder she was freezing. 

"Sure. I'll be back in a second."

Leaving Saoirse on her own, he made his way up the stairs to and toward the door right next to Yu's room. The door clicked when the hatch opened, and he slipped inside to grab one of the towels folded neatly in one of the drawers. Once he'd gotten what he needed, he entered his room and grabbed an extra pair of clothes for her to change into. If she were wet then there was a good chance her clothes were also. 

After closing the door behind him and heading back downstairs, he extended the garments towards her. "Here," he said. "Hope these are alright."

  It seemed she didn’t have much choice in the matter of where she was staying and she would continue to smile a little even though her joke went unnoticed. It had been a horrible joke anyway and she’d fight the urge to sight slightly. Her social skills were a little rusty it seemed. How long had it been since she’d properly interacted with someone? She couldn’t remember… that wasn’t a good sign. She found herself feeling a little nervous now. The last thing she needed to do was act strange but then again, walking out in the middle of the night in the pouring rain was strange enough. Perhaps she should just act like herself. If she tried too hard she would only make more mistakes. 

Her head had lowered a little in thought when Dojima entered the kitchen and it was only when he stood in front of her that she finally lifted her gaze again with a soft laugh. “Thank you” she’d reach out to take the glass, her fingers momentarily brushing against his own as she did so. Her skin was no longer wet, at least not on her hands, but it was cold. Very cold. Her skin felt like ice to touch and the paleness of it only made her look even more ill. Her green dress was still clinging to her form in it’s dampness and the sleeves made it a little difficult for her to move if she was honest. But other than that, she didn’t seem too worried about the cold. If anything, she didn’t notice it.

A smile of reassurance formed as she reached for her glass of water. He didn't know what she was thinking, but he could tell she was a little nervous. He could see why, in a sense. Not only was he a completely stranger, but it just so happened that she was going to spend the night in said strangers home. Feeling discomfort was normal, and he wasn't about to call her out on it. The only thing he could do was hope she came to feel a little more at home as time progressed. It was down to Nanako and Yu, though. Not just him. Sleeping on the couch set him at an advantage, come to think of it, as he'd be able to inform Nanako of Saoirse's presence before she got up. That way, she wouldn't be shy and surprised when she saw her come down the stairs. As the glass was taken from him and their fingers met, though, something happened; and that something was one of the things he hadn't been expecting at all. 

His first thought was that she was going into shock. When trauma is experienced, body temperature is known to drop considerably. What struck him as odd with that theory was that she was acting perfectly normal. It was hard to tell what was going on with her as, when he looked at her, he felt as though there was a lot he wasn't being told. Gut instincts were hard to pinpoint, though, which was also the reason why chose not to comment on it. He'd been wrong before, and he could just as easily be wrong again. He didn't fancy causing her more trouble. What he couldn't, however, prevent was the narrowing of his eyes in confusion. "You're frozen."

Another soft sigh of relief could be heard from the woman, the sound itself was almost melodic in a way as she reached down to lightly rub against the bandages. They were done well, not to tight but not so loose that her foot would start to bleed again. She felt relief in more ways than one. Not only was her injury a step closer to healing but the male had -unknowingly- prevented a large disaster. If she had lost herself in the moment… Her eyes would flicker over to where he stood putting away the first aid kit and her body would shiver slightly at the thought. Thankfully, the shiver could be seen as caused by her clothes which were still completely soaked through and clinging to her. 

She’d prepared for the possibility of him wanting her to stay the night because of her injury, but upon hearing where she was going to stay she seemed very surprised and she would raise her pale hands with slight shock. “You really don’t have to worry about me that much” she’d insist with a sheepish smile upon her features and a soft laugh parting her lips “I’d hate to be a bother and you need somewhere to sleep too”. If she had to stay then surely it made more sense for her to sleep on the couch rather than his bed of all places. Considering she didn’t really sleep that much in the first place she hated that the male might lose sleep over her incident. That being said, the shock of the situation had made her rather exhausted. Or perhaps that was her lack of feeding. The sacrifices she made to stay hidden. 

She found herself wishing she had fed somewhat however upon being asked if she was hungry. In truth, she was starving, but nothing that the male offered would be any help to her. She thought of refusing his offer outright but at the same time felt it would be rude. She had let her social skills rust for a little too long. “Just a glass of water will be fine” she’d smile widely “Just give me the glass and I’ll stand outside with it for a while”. It was a poor joke given that she was already soaked through and perhaps something warm would be better for her. But it at least showed that she was comfortable in her current environment.

Unnecessary or not, he wasn't changing his mind. Making her feel comfortable was a must, especially with her leg being in the state it was. Sleeping on the couch didn't bother him in the slightest, as it was where he spent most of his nights as of late. Work was piling up, and seldom did he come home when he was supposed to. Walking up the stairs risked waking his daughter up and he didn't fancy doing that. She had to attend school, as did his nephew. In the end, Saoirse was more of a deserving of a mattress. She seemed pretty pale, and a good night's sleep might help her feel a little better. 

"Water it is," he assured, arm extending towards the cupboard above the sink. A soft clinking could be heard and he'd then be seen removing one of the glasses from within.
