I had an idea last night for a character in a comic/graphic novel who for no reason has obnoxiously huge speech bubbles to the point of everyone else noticing and getting visibly annoyed/worried whenever they’re about to speak. The panel has to expand just to read what they’re saying.

Yo, something I just came up with:
A show that starts out with the protagonist who’s a hermit/outcast/loner, but throughout the series as they gain more friends/allies/teammates/etc., the theme song gets more vocals. Like for every character that joins the protag’s side, they add harmonies and whatnot to the already existing song. If singing theme songs aren’t your thing, add an instrument for each character.
The writer experience is crazy bc what do you mean I’ll have writer’s block for months on end, I have no inspiration or motivation to come up with anything, and all the story lines I’ve ever written feel so unoriginal and bland, and I start to doubt that I’m even a writer at all and I’m doing it just to seem interesting to other people
Then one day I get a burst of adrenaline and ideas and I’m writing multiple pages of a novel in one sitting, thinking my story is gonna break world records, while also just having so much fun with what in writing?
Story Prompt:
The main character lives near a convenient store and goes there often between their adventures.
The cashier has seen the character in throughout their many states, struggles, victories, etc.
Character Concept:
A character who lives on a hospital bed. Whether it’s for a disease, condition, testing, or whatever the reason, this character never leaves the hospital and practically bound to the bed.
However, this doesn’t stop their closest friends from including them in their journeys and main plots of the series. Whether they meet in person at the hospital to reenact what has happened, or they message in their group chat for hours on end, their friends always make them feel included in everything that happens, all while hoping that one day this character can recover or adapt to join them in person in their story.
Character Prompt:
A chaotic, daredevil robot who is always willing to jump into danger, but whenever they or someone around them brings up dangerous plans, they glitch out and enter a monotone mode that states all the possible dangers and safety precautions of said dangerous plan, and then glitched back to their chaotic personality.
Story Prompt:
A group of performers (like a band, circus group,club leaders, comedy trio, etc.) who are separated by classic archetypes, such as The Calm and Collected one, The Fiery and Grumpy one, and the Bubbly and Cheerful one. But once they’re they’re off stage or just away from an audience, they’re personalities rotate: the Calm one is frustrated and obnoxious most of the time, the Fiery one is optimistic and the peacekeeper, and the Bubbly one is the most level-headed and neutral.
Character Concept:
Every time a certain character is on screen, their theme song plays in the background. But I’m not talking about a motif or anything like that, like this character has an upbeat, catchy, happy song that plays every time they appear on screen, and the song stops once they’re off screen, plays again when they return etc etc.
Even during an emotional, intense, or quiet scene, suddenly their music starts playing as soon as they’re in the frame.
Story Prompt:
Two characters who have beef for absolutely no reason, but when something gets serious or just out of the ordinary they become the two most compline people to be paired together and act like best friends. They’re not siblings or cousins or anything, they’re just like that.
Like one minute they’re fist-fighting and yelling at each other, the next minute somebody said something weird and now the two characters are ganging up on the other character.
Or all of a sudden in the middle of the day the two characters are just joking around and behaving like they’re childhood friends who’ve been through hell and back and have an entire history together.
Bonus point if they just met once the story starts. They’ve never met each other before the arguing began.
Character Prompt:
An asexual vampire who’s just really mad that they can’t have garlic bread

A character who’s really into history and cultural archives in their world. Throughout the story they excitedly spout about everything they know but their group is always telling them to shut up/ that they’re a nerd/ that they’ve heard this story already/ etc.
One day a species from another world gets teleported to this character’s world and wants to know about the new place they’ve arrived to just out of pure curiosity.
This historian is about to have the time of their life.
Character Prompt:
A character that looks so androgynous that every time they meet someone new, they’re either mistaken for the wrong gender or people at least hesitate before referring to them.
Like the character isn’t even trans, nonbinary, etc., they just look like the definition of gender neutral. Their voice is the only thing that gives away what they actually are.
Story Prompt:
A character is born with the ability to rewind time.
They unintentionally make a lot of poor decisions, so they abuse this power of theirs very often.
One day they find out that they haven’t been time traveling at all, and they’ve actually been teleporting to alternate universes where everything is the same except for when they leave because they try to change the timeline. With the “help” of a greater being, they’re forced to watch what happened in every world they left behind.
Character Prompt:
A character named Finn Gernale.
New team member: Alright, so who’s the oldest one here?
The guy in his 70s: …
