Just finished binging the whole of Ugly betty cause i needed to know the iconness that is this show and i loved it except that i am so dissapointed on them losing literally one of the best slow burn potential ever that is Daniel and Betty . I have been whining over the ending for so long cause as the show progressed all i could root for ever as a couple was Daniel and Betty and finally when it was implied that they are endgame ot just felt so lackluster cause it was such an open ending and i hate open endings, and knowing that they end up married in the og telenovela actually kind of hurt and healed me at the same time. Like i get the point of the open ending being that it would be sudden to have them end up romantically like that but like there were so many times they could've started by implying their feelings for each other but they failed every time and i am very sad over it . This is literally the first time ever i actually want to actively go ,search and read fanfics on a straight ship.

The fact that we didn't even get the fake Daniel & Betty kiss when he was high in Level Seven Land hallucinating Molly really irritates me. I just wanted one on screen kiss yall. Not cool.

Obviously I think Henry is the only one of Betty’s boyfriends throughout the show who like could’ve really been The One (though I never thought he was bc I’m not kidding, from first watch I was Team Daniel from the PILOT) but on this rewatch I’m just realizing there was a bunch of things that Henry wanted/tried to do for Betty but couldn’t and then Daniel does instead. Henry invited Betty to Wicked but then they don’t go (no word on what Betty did with the tickets he gave her?) and then Daniel makes sure she gets the tickets. Henry wanted to get Betty the money for her dad’s ticket to Mexico but can’t, and then Daniel not only gets Ignacio’s ticket but the whole family’s. Henry wanted to “defend Betty’s honor” but loses to Schmidt Nick Pepper, and then Daniel punches Matt when he’s belittling Betty. IT WAS ALL RIGHT THERE THE WHOLE TIME.

I started Ugly Betty for the first time last week. Now, I've rewound through some of the backstabbing parts because, while entertaining, that just wasn't the mood I was going for (and I truly believe you can do that if it protects your peace, k?).

And let me tell you, I'm surprised I'm enjoying it.

Three episodes in I was reading fanfiction.

Two seasons & many fanfic in I had to watch the last two episodes just to ease my mind. (I have high anxiety, yall).

Now I'm in Season 4 and am very sad that it's ending soon.

Also every song on the radio yall.

Thoughts;

I like Henry better than the other boyfriends (at least in the first season, after that he's a broken record and should stay in Tuscan)

I actually liked Molly.

But definitely Daniel & Betty.
