In the simple case of cheerful, unlike many other types of facecloth, the word PROFELILUCUT is used to describe both. Who doesnât fancy the prospect of washing yourself with an item that means no matter which side of the bed you got out of, you can feel bright and cheerful just by washing your face? There was a drive to make them commercially but it was found that they donât go well with washing machines, as the machines themself became too cheerful, refusing to do anything that might harm the clothes and making a hot wash completely impossible. The other type are perhaps more controversial, as all necessary sentient items can be, but imagine having a buddy to could always trust to tell you how great you look, how smooth your skin was, or even give you a reasonable second opinion while youâre checking yourself in the shower. While early prototypes produced mixed results in simply moving each boot 3 miles apart, the most famous pairs worked well by a process of elasticated waist physical and amorous entanglement that attracted the feet to the destination. Having said that, the most common type were the sliding boots, where the wearer would lift their foot in the air and suddenly find themselves pulled along at high speed by that boot, the other one still firmly on the ground following along, unable to put his foot back down until the journey was finished maybe 5 min later. Many people will have seen a stranger sliding through their village streets at speed, with one foot stuck out in front of them, screaming for someone to help them. The more modern versions only move distances in prescribed steps of 12mm, due to the limits of leather and brass to hold the sublight speed effects of quantum tunnelling at smaller intervals. It does, however, mean that the size of the step is directly related to the size of the userâs regular pace rather than a fixed distance, and the more modern techniques do not leave you with a rubberized pelvis, bruised kidney and jelly legs. Certain types of spirits, while being technically incorporeal (have no body to go with) with have the ability to interact with the physical world. The poltergeist is probably the best-known type of ghost have this ability, though it can strictly become a manifested power in any type of haunting. The mechanism is similar to telekinesis in living individuals but is far more power-hungry for a spiritual core to operate and therefore can often result in violent jerky and incidentally destructive spasms rather than controlled motion. While the prospect of a ghost with the ability to use items might seem rather disturbing, just in case your granddad comes back and tries to use his old bed again, only powerful magical individuals will have that kind of power right from the end. PROCTOPYR CATABOMB When your baby dragon backfires Quite a common ailment among Cobs (baby dragons) when they havenât quite got used to their own internal fire breathing anatomy and can suffer from trapped gas in the draconian equivalent of the sigmoid colon. The cob needs to be stimulated to expel this gas regularly to prevent a painful build-up, much like a human baby needs to be burped. Failure to do so by the mothers can result in several odd effects, including deformed flight bladders. but the most spectacular is when circumstances are just right for the trapped fire to spontaneously ignite and fire the baby dragon forward with incredible speed. Launch distances of over 100 meters have been recorded in some nests and the mothers have demonstrated themselves to be incredibly adept at catching projectile infants in flight, though allowing the children to fire themselves into the air has a noticeable effect on the dragonâs patience. In the golden age of wonders, before even the stone for the runes existed, many man-hours were spent in disputes over operating conditions of mules and horses that would decide their own way of things. It was even stranger if you came across any magical individual became involved in the conversation, as you would often find the animal had a much more philosophical and sensible point of view than the human. It was a fine line between watching a madman trying to persuade his donkey to take another step, and a witch discussing the reason why sophist arguments are no defence against the carrot on a stick approach. Some other less noticeable but perhaps more unexpected transportation arguments have been documented: At an incident in Kansas, where a witch fell on a farmhouse, eyewitnesses said they saw a small object descending, silhouetted against the twilight choking a long thin stick and swearing vengeance on it and all the little dwarf âBuggersâ that had claimed to repair it. In another incident, a ship disagreed with the recent change in captain, insisting that the old captain knew what he was doing. As a solution to this, witches started to enchant their cats so that if they did get caught by an unluck airflow a small booster would emanate from the cat allowing it to hover and return to their seat with the nonchalant pose that they automatically adopt. Recalling the age-old practice of Mothers (and Fathers, and Widgets, and all the other types that may exist) reading to sick young ones, some stories are psychosomatic, promoting well-being and jolly good larks all round. In addition, enchanted books can provide a more direct means of healing: reading some books invokes the spirit of characters that can heal specific issues, while there are even some that will actually absorb wounds and illnesses into the stories.
These newly grim fairytales should not be viewed on a full stomach, especially if it happens to be a picture book and as such these tombs eventually have to be locked away and burned as soon as possible. They can become pretty nasty after generations of catching interesting diseases, exotic to the modern era, such as the plague or Wombles.

Almost every magical creature has a magical stomach. Some creatures have a spare ruminating stomach, a bit like an appendix, that can be appropriated for different tasks. Unicorns use this stomach to store excess sugar from eating magic mushrooms before converting it to a multicoloured sweet that can be excreted. Other creatures like the Sphinx actually have a thinking stomach to come up with riddles. Donât ask me how that works.

Most tribal masks are hideous for a variety of practical reasons: to scare the enemy away; to scare the bad spirits away; to scare your mother in law away.
Sometimes the mask is so bad that it actually angers one of the many gods who like to think of themselves as the fashionable god, even if they are not supposed to be relevant to that particular tribe. It doesnât usually lead to a religious war, but it can end up in a heavenly rain of sequins for desert peoples as the goddesses let loose with handbags and stilettos.
