A friend sent me the free movie online link and I planned to watch it during the new year holidays on 2016. But it turned out to be that every time I clicked in, it popped out incredibly lots of PORN ads filling my page..... I was....cant find a word to describe how embarrassed I was then...
Yet luckily, I’d planned to watch the movie “alone” !

When it comes to the homosexual marriage, my mom was always the conservative one. She thought that was against the nature of human being, as the perspective of reproduction.
However, I thought, biologically and psychologically, it was totally different. How would you define the nature of love ? How could you prohibit someone to love?
The night right before the first time of Mom’s chemotherapy, she was laying in the bed nervously in the hospital, with her eyes open. We talked again about the issue of same-sex marriage.
“Imagine what if a dying homosexuel patient needs to undergo an very emergency operation, without any family by his side, but only with his companion. Who will be the person to sign the consent form? That would be really tough... needless to say the insurance and heritage afterwards.”
Mom remained silent for a while, and then she told me that, yes, without the support of someone beloved by his side, that would be a nightmare, no matter physically or mentally.
After leaning her cancer, she tried to rethink some issues with another perspective, like a new-born baby, lots of things seem more flexible than before.

Though the pic isn't the most fantastic and representative scene in the movie, but this one is my favorite.
Couple of years ago, when I just graduated from my senior high, that was my first time to watch this film, deeply loved it from then on. And that was also my first time to see the mysterious and breathtaking beauty of Iceland, although it was through the screen then.
Then couple years later, one day, just at the night of my birthday in Taiwan in 2017, even me I was busy thus expectedly forgot my day again as usual. But somehow, someone sent me a picture with the ocean of Reykjavík and a brief “Bon anniversaire” from Iceland.
That was at the drizzling night on 2nd, November, the weather at the subtropical zone just began to get a little bit chilly. But I felt so touched then, even didn't how to reply a sentence, simply just a short “Merci”. Despite only brief communication on WhatsApp, I could imagine the smiling face with sunshine in Reykjavík.
And almost three months passed by. The weekend on 21st, Jan, I watched the movie again and thought of you, thought of this helicopter scene which is about courage. Then few days later, just after I passed the news that Cigarette After Sex will participate in the independent music festival in your city this year, you replied me that it was interesting, just few days ago, when seeing a new newly-opened restaurant near Arena, you thought of me immediately. Right at the moment wondering what would make you think of me, I saw this meaningful word, “serendipity”, which connected our friendship at the very beginning as well, then revealing a smile from the depth of my heart.

J’ai lu le terme “cinéma taïwanais” dans 《L’Amour Est Très Surestimé》, quelle est l’impression du film taïwanais pour les français ? Vraiment curieuse.
Je me souviens que tu m’avais dit que tu m’aimais davantage chaque jour, ce jour-là plus que la veille, mais bien moins que le lendemain, comme les mouvements des marées. Les chuchotements intimes caressaient mon oreille comme une soie, énervante et douce, comme une petite crique dorée où se balançait la mer. Je n’oublie jamais que tu m’as promis monts et merveilles, qu’on se caressait les joues avant de s’endormir, et chaque trajet de tes baisers sur corps pour me réveiller avec des rayons du soleil s’infiltrant à travers les fenêtres dans la chambre à 10 heures du matin. “Un corps comme une algue remuante doucement”, as-dit tu, lorsque j’étais en demi-sommeil avec mes yeux entrouverts. Et ce que je voyais, c’était la tranquillité dans tes yeux d’azur, la mer à perte de vue.
Pourtant, on a oublié que les marées se retirent aussi. Et voilà la fin de la musique, la fin du cinéma. La désillusion de l’amour. Au début, on s’était mis à nous perdre dans les silences du couple sans bout. Puis les querelles tumultueuses, les sanglots mous et la langueur monotone nous indisposaient petit à petit, nous noyaient presque. Nous nous enfermions chacun dans sa propre cachette, nos conversations se changeaient en deux monologues, tournaient à vide. L’illusion de l’amour s’est transformée en de petites écumes blanches des vagues, disparues en un instant. Notre amour est devenu comme une chanson du deuil, une chanson d’automne qui effaçait tel qu’on s’étaient attachés, comme les feuilles mortes balayées à la poubelle, tout balayées. C’est le démon qui vole nos sentiments et notre tendresse pour l’un et l’autre, puis nous bouleverse ? Moi, je ne sais pas. Je suis perdue dans la même mer où nous nous sommes embrassés, mais maintenant je reste toute seule.

We’re all traveling time together, every day of our lives. All we can do is do our best to relish this remarkable ride.
