but the question is WHY do 90 percent of the tumblr population hate bayern? a lot of y'all can never give me a reason…. is it because supposedly “everyone hates them”? like half of y'all only watch la liga and don’t even know ANY other bundesliga team besides bayern, yet u always gotta put out your undying hate for them?? I’m not there biggest fan either, but what reason have they given anyone to be so hated lmaooo I can understand if you actually WATCH the bundesliga but ?????

as a bayern fan my whole life long with a family full of staunch supporters of our arch-nemeses 1860, the inexplicable bayern hate is nothing new or unsurprising. EVERYONE in the bundesliga who doesn’t follow us hates us, it’s only natural that should extend out of the league. we are annoyingly bavarian (a hated culture in germany and considered too folky outside), frustratingly arrogant at times, and irritatingly good to make up for it.

there’s a reason our women scored their winning goal in the last league match to a hearty chorus of “zieh den bayern die lederhosen raus” – we know our identity aggravates everyone around us and we don’t care because it’s who we ARE. i love bayern hate precisely BECAUSE it shows we continue to be competent enough to really frustrate our opponents, both domestically and in europe. we are irritating because we win when we shouldn’t necessarily, because we keep fighting to come back when the matches should be lost, and because we succeed in triumphing without shiny superstars over teams who, according to the books, should be better any day

How I met my fave

You spend a lot of time wondering what would you do if you get the chance to see your fave, face to face. Truth is, you never know how it is really going to happen. What I’ll tell you is something I planned carefully months ago but turned out in a completely different way. Still, I wouldn’t change a goddamn thing.
