Old âfriendsâ -- Boris&Briar
âItâs called a joke,â Briar said, deadpan. He laughed a bit, because he was just the type of person that automatically laughed along whenever someone else was laughing, no matter if he knew why they were laughing or not. Then, at his next stupid spiel of words, he slapped him on the arm, face scrunching up with horror and disgust. âWhat the fuck is wrong with you,â he cried out. âDude, youâre nasty,â He shook his head and shuddered. Hell, Sergeant Voss was possibly the least sexually attractive person on the planet. Besides maybe Bo himself, he added internally. Briar wasnât sure which was worse. Christ. Who even said things like that? Briar had been the first to fuck up and say something kinda weird, sure, but this guy just had to take it to a whole different level. Of course. Look, even Briar had limits. Standards. There were things that didnât even need to be joked about. Choking on Voss? That was one of them. That was something Briar could have lived his entire life not thinking once about. âBut I guess you would be the one to know that thatâs an option, huh,â He shoots at him, giving an awful, still- disgusted look to Bo.Â
At this point, Briar wishes he could shove his pride away enough to just leave. Being in the company of this dumbass was less than pleasurable, but heâll be damned if he gives Bo the satisfaction. Shit, he was saying things that made Briar sick. He shouldnât be surprised, not in the slightest, but he kind of is. Just when he thinks he knows the worst possible thing that could come out of Boâs mouth, the guy has to go and do something that exceeds all expectations. âUgh,â Briar complains, still disgusted. He closes his eyes and massages his forehead, lip curled in disgust. That mental image is something he needs to get rid of, immediately.Â
âIâm well aware that it was an attempt at making a joke, thank you very much. It just wasnât really good, was it?â To be fair, Bo had laughed but not really because it was funny or anything but because he was so weirded out by that change of subject and the tone in which Briar had provided that so-called-joke. It was no surprise that Bo tried to take it further, just to make the other one feel much more uncomfortable, he lived for that shit. Being called nasty on the other hand, especially by someone he disliked this much, made him growl. âDonât try and turn this around, idiot. You started this, I just read your unhealthy thoughts.â
He didnât even think about giving in, especially not when Briar implied that Bo probably thought about Sergeant Voss a lot. That was ... some awful thing to say right there. Sergeant Voss wasnât only unpleasant to be around but also looked kind of like a shriveled carrot with manic eyes. No one would want to fuck that. Bo shuddered instantly, spitting on the ground as if he had to get rid of a bad taste in his mouth. âShut the fuck upâ, he growled, giving Briar a not very gentle push against the chest. âAnd stop screaming for being beaten, itâs annoying.â Because that was, what Briar really did, wasnât it? Begging to be dunked headfirst into a toilet and then thrown into the lake, his clothes gone with the wind. Bo didnât want to do that, it was not like he was proud of having been a bully, but at the same time, something about Briar just put him on edge again. It seemed impossible for him to keep his cool, even though he was really trying to.
