Update on the lil mushroom! I started the gills but hated how they were going so I restarted--looks better now than it did for sure
Started this painting last summer, I like how it's going but I've been struggling to get the motivation to pick the brush back up for this piece. Maybe summer coming around again will help
*Picture dump*
I've always really loved wire wrapping. These were the last batch (except the two shark teeth, both of which are mine) that I consigned to a boutique before I moved out of the area. Only the bright yellow bumblebee jasper piece remains--I hope the others are sparking joy wherever they are now
Something else I've been working on recently~~ I bought 14 plastic divided containers of embroidery floss at a yard sale and with my stock fully replenished, I'm going to be making ton of patches! Feel free to DM with commission inquiries
A month ago I got a pin loom from a yard sale and I'm in love with it. Perfect way to use up scraps of all sizes and the squares are all so cute and fast to create. Eventually once I have a ton of these I'll probably make a big blanket but for now they'll stay a bunch of smol squares
Dragon #1/100!!
I remember hearing somewhere how it takes a hundred drawings to master a subject, so I'm trying it out. It will probably take well over a year because drawing isn't my main focus but I'm looking forward to the journey. This is my test dragon to compare to my final dragon at the end of the 100. Excited!
Been making tiny terrariums! I found all the hagstones myself in Venice, Florida whenever I go down to visit. There's something I've always loved about hagstones, and I'm glad I've finally found a use for them instead of just hoarding them~~ Excited to make more of these
Some designs I did for Yunnan Sourcing's Year of the Tiger competition. None of them won but I'm still proud of them!
Hello to all who are still following this blog after a long, long time of inactivity. I've used this space in the past mostly to engage with various fan communities, but from now on it will be a place for me to post my art and share works from artists that inspire me. I'm glad to be back and excited to explore the space after being gone for so long. Thanks for keeping me on your lists after all this time! I'm looking forward to share what I've been working on

â3 Defining Features of ADHD That Everyone Overlooksâ
I really like this article! It explains some symptoms that are often really hard to describe
Pretty sure this is what I need to show anybody who is remotely interested in learning about adhd beyond stereotypes

Took me a bit but I was able to find their youtube channel! ^^

They REALLY like making pools of one kind or another, itâs fun to see. Plus they have a few tree houses theyâve made and the like

I've lived in this town! Last year they printed pictures of Pumpkin on the cards they pass out to remind people to vote
Hey Goblins, uh
Did you know, that you can make an AWESOME journal for your adventures ALL ON YOUR OWN from a cereal box and paper/scraps that you likely have at home/can get from friends or family/you may find around your environment?
Theyâre called Junk Journals and theyâre my entire life.
Im gonna do my best to walk you through how to make one! First, get you a mini cereal box! I use boxes from those cool multipacks of cereal that you can find at Walmart!
And then cut it out so it looks like this! (I already had one cut, so Iâm gonna use that)
That ânutrition factsâ side is gone become your spine!
Next, find some paper to use to decorate your cover! I was lucky enough to be gifted a bunch of scrapbooking paper, so Iâm gonna use that, but you can also use newspaper, paper from books/magazines, junk mail, napkins, paper towels (excellent texture), etc!
Go ahead and glue that paper to your box (to cover the cereal logo) and cut it out! Itâll look like this;
Next you need to find your pages! Again these can be anything! Junk mail, envelopes, receipts, food wrappers, magazine/book pages, scrapbook paper, computer paper, construction paper, ANYTHING. Just grab a whole bunch!
Youâre gonna want to fold them in half and cut them to the size of one of the covers of your box, and layer other pages inside of it to make your signatures, like this!
Each signature should be about 7-10 pages. You donât want them too thick, otherwise the inner pages start sticking out when folded in half. Youâre gonna have a LOT of these signatures, as you wanna fill the area in the spine as best as possible. For this one Iâm using 7 page signatures. Hereâs a pic to show just how much paper youâll need
Each of these signatures are 7 pages, 6 signatures have only filled about half of the spine, so Iâll need probably 6 more.
Next you gotta figure out how you want them in your journal. Personally, I like to sew them into the spine, but you can also keep them in the spine with rubber bands, so you can have removable pages! (Be weary that rubber bands may break over time! So you may want to always keep extra bands near it to replace in case one snaps. This is why I prefer sewing them in) I find it best to look up on YouTube how to sew in signatures, just because having someone walk you through it where you can see what theyâre doing is easiest. If you canât access YouTube, thereâs plenty of text tutorials on how to sew in signatures online, or you can message me! Iâm not gonna go too into detail, but hereâs the jist;
Okay so Iâm a forgetful gob and I hecken forgot to take pictures as I was going along kahshshshsh
But essentially, I sewed in the pattern similar to the one I drew. The dots are where the needle goes all the way through to the back. I also like to use rubber band as an extra mode of support but you can do one or the other. I also like both cuz I can tuck stuff in em between the pages. Since I didnât take more pictures; Iâd really recommend looking up a how-to on YouTube or w/e if my badly drawn diagram isnât clear enough (heh sorry about that)
Next, I glue fabric to the spine. It spruces it up quite a lot and holds the rubber bands in place, plus it give more support to the spine since thereâs gonna be a lot of strain on it.
Only 10 photos per post, so I gotta post this and reblog it with the rest.
Hereâs the journal with the fabric on the spine, I decided to go ahead and glue the excess to the rest of the cover too, cuz I liked how it looked ÂŻ\_(ă)_/ÂŻ
Next step?
DECORATE the pages! I havenât decorated this one yet, but hereâs some pages I have completed!
Have fun with it! Make tuck spots and hideaways. Add folders and envelopes and make tags and things that dangle. Decorate the covers and the spine and make it your own! Add things as you find them! Anything! Even candy wrappers! This is really the ultimate goblin journal!
I hope yâall enjoyed this mini tutorial =3
Honestly @gayestgoth Iâm not sure how you donât think itâs goblin. In my opinion, using garbage to make something cool is very goblin. And not only that, you can make these with ANYTHING.
Hereâs one where I decorated the cover with actual leaves
I regularly use materials and litter that I find while out in the woods. I pick up all sorts of paper, receipts, scraps, cloth, advertisements, broken beer bottles, etc to use in my journals. And because Iâm picking these things up, thereâs less litter in the woods. PLUS Iâm recycling. And I press plants into them.
Half chewed papers? Go for it! I set the corners of pages on fire before cuz I liked the burnt look! (Do with caution) chew ya own papers! Make it unique!
And shinies?
Iâve got plenty! I use all kinds of clips, wire, beads, buttons, pins, coins, etc in my journals. Half of which, I find in the garbage.
Hell,
I found the upholstery fabric I used for the cover of this journal in the garbage!
So how is this goblin?
How is it not?
also I learned about this project called âqueering the map.â the idea is that in the past gay neighborhoods and gay spaces were very clearly defined bc it just wasnât safe to be yourself anywhere else. as lgbt+ people become more visible and accepted many feel that we are losing our connection to those spaces
so every dot on this map is basically someoneâs queer experience: coming out, meeting their future wife, seeing another gay man in public for the first time, anything you can think of that truly left a mark on them
it started in Montreal and is primarily English-language with most pins dropped in the US, Canada, and Europe, but there are people all over the world whoâve shared their experiences. itâs great to look at places near you but itâs also great to see that even people in places you thought were the middle of nowhere are happy with themselves and finding community and living their lives
Itâs here and itâs SO SWEET?? Just clicking around itâs very personal stories, in first person and a lot of them addressed to a specific âyouâ, and sooo many in extremely poetic language. It feels like an art installation and itâs so beautiful. ;W; Thanks for sharing!!!
⊠thereâs also a lot of really silly ones (like gay sharks in the middle of the ocean)
I looked at Jerusalem and immediately found two favorites for entirely different reasons.
Things I found from the queer community of japan:
Itâs no secret to the Japanese that Shinjuku nichome is the gay district of Tokyo but about half the pins left there are for the same club in that area named gold finger. Definitely a place to check out if youâre looking to get involved in the Japanese queer community for whatever reason, it seems.
I have a sneaking suspicion this submission is a haiku when written in JapaneseâŠ

Is this how people feel while reading deep romantic poetry because wow Iâm moved.
Honestly the best feeling is learning weâre not as alone as weâve been led to believe
These are all super poetic oml I appreciate every single one of them
There are none in my town. Guess Iâll be the first

âIâm safe. I never have to go back.â
I posted this on FacebookâŠthe small Oklahoma town I grew up in has nothing so far, but two of my former classmates are happily married to their same-gender spouses, so I hope they can populate it a little for people who are still there and struggling.
