The Goodbye.
It had been a difficult choice to make, really. She didnât know if Nahuel would want to go, she wasnât entirely sure if SHE wanted to go. In the end, she knew that this would be for the best for BOTH of them. Nayeli had sat him down, spoken to Nahuel and told him her plans... She wanted him to be free. But she wanted to be with him.
The biggest part of it all was getting the hotel taken care of. There had been a couple of commitment stays that she waited out, and then it stopped accepting reservations all together. Nayeli allowed Nahuel to leave first after saying his goodbyes, and she stayed behind to facilitate the actual move and say her own farewells. A part of her wondered, stemmed from distrust from a past male, if he would still be there when she made it, or if he would take the opportunity and run... She shook the thoughts from her head. He would be there. She trusted him.
Finally, the last of the boxes from the main house is loaded up into a car and she gave a final look at the estate that had been a home for the past year. As a sucker for mementos, it would take her a while to sell the property. Flicking the sunglasses from her head and onto her face, she got into the car to go to the airport.
*-*-*-*- Â FRANCE. *-*-*-*
The plane landed the next morning, and Nayeli stepped out into the open air. France, a place of familiarity for her. Her second home, though she had a taste for traveling and showing Nahuel as much of the world as she could. As the men unloaded her possessions and put them into a moving truck, she sat in the back of a sleek, black car and it took off down the street.
No text or call had been sent, partly for the fun element of surprise. After all, she was a day early. But she knew where to find him. This was the best little cafe in town. There was a click of heels before tanned arms draped over his shoulders, and her chocolate brown hair spilled over his shoulder. âNahuel,â her voice practically a purr as she lowered her lips to his ear, âMaintenant nous pouvons vivre.â
