the gruff nature of the voice that rang out some
few feet away takes tahno by surprise, to be
sure; and it is precisely for this reason that he
turns to face the source of it with one slender
brow raised. of course, upon sighting her, the
’spirit princess’, the reasonably shocked expr-
ession he wore transformed into something a
little more perplexed. he’d not seen her sort be-
fore, but if the way in which hushed whispers
and half-concerned, half-panicked looks surro-
unded her as she cut through the crowd were
to indicate anything —— it certainly would not be
anything good.
why she chose to approach him, out of all the
surrounding civilians, was beyond him. but re-
gardless of the reasons, assuming there were
any at all ——— he’d have to supply some sort
of response. right?
“ your guess is as good as mine. i’d assume
it’s in the direction that all of these people are
heading —— but i could very well be wrong. ”
“ —— what’s your hurry? you don’t look all
that interested in winning a prize to take home;
so what is it? a sabotage? ”
he’s being condescending. little does he know that
this guess is as close to her true intentions as he
could possibly get.
Sabotage ? To rightfully reclaim what was
hers ? What the people had taken ? It was ignorant, to
simply think that all that riches man had a-c-q-u-i-r-e-d where
simply given. The { Deer God's } head was far more precious
than the riches of the city, far more holy than any word a
priest could preach.
Irritation struck deep, prodding at harsher words.
He lived here, he must know of the events & going ons.

A deep, guttural growl burst from her throat, challenging
his authority. While he may have stood t-a-l-l-e-r than her
short stature, that did not mean anything in the eyes of the
prideful Wolf Child. Human clothing were a hindrance in battle,
but time had accustomed her to the tight folds & restrictions.

something rightfully taken away."
