I know this is a weird question but is there a Muslim equivalent to a confessional stand to a Imam?

no. youre actually not allowed to pray or ask Gods forgiveness of anyone or anything but God. as in if you do that it might be considered shirk (worship of other than God) which makes you not a muslim anymore & you gotta revert if you want to stay so. its very strict on everything being between you and only & directly God unless youre asking forgiveness for something you did that harmed another person - in that specific case you first have to smooth things out with that person, and then ask God for forgiveness.

theres a verse that hammers this point down in a way, and for context, every other time in the Qur'an when God says 'theyre asking you (the Prophet pbuh) about (some thing)' it continues along the lines of 'answer them/tell them (the answer)', except for one single ayah, this one:

which tells you that in cases where youre praying to God for anything, you dont go through even the Prophet pbuh, let alone anyone else. directly to you it is said 'I am truly near', without the 'tell them', just this once. theres like more to this of course but i hope i explained the gist of it all enough

there's a general understanding that God is closer to you "than the beating of your own heart", (or "than your Jugular vein" in some translations), and the understanding of that is -- it's between you and God. you can confess to a loved one, someone you trust, but they are in no position to forgive you or offer a List of repentences that will give you back favor with God. because -- here's the thing -- there's no way for humans to know. whatever is accepted or not, whether the forgiveness quota is finished or not, we can. not. know.

at the same time, God is repeatedly stated to be the "Most Merciful" + "Most Forgiving", so if you ask for forgiveness and genuinely mean it -- if it is in your heart but you cannot phrase it out loud -- it is heard regardless.
