If Season 5 is about things coming full circle and the Duffers want to go back to the groups from Season 1 then that would mean Robin fills the spot of Barb. With this all in mind, the best way to end Nancy’s character arc is by having her choose Robin(this can be in a platonic or romantic sense but I obviously would prefer romantic) over the love triangle. It would be an amazing way to bring everything back to her trauma and regret over not choosing her friend the first time.

I just finished rewatching Awkward(mtv) and I forgot how good the first 3 seasons were. Some parts definitely didn't age well but the ending of Season 3 was perfect. It was also the creators final season so I can ignore the awful two seasons that followed.
