Anyone ever think about how pirates of the caribbean series left near zero cultural footpoint despite being one of the biggest franchise?

Well I fucking loved it as a teenager and rewatched it recently. Pirates 5 is an abomination and seems to be written by someone who actively hates the franchise, similar to d&d for got. 1-3 are actually decent. I seem to be one of the few people who actually enjoyed the Will/Elizabeth line. They’re both pretty well rounded. All props to Hans Zimmer for carrying the franchise, which will loose half of its charm without the perfect emotional music motifs for each character.
