KAIJI OC??? op i NEED to know more about her

YAAYYY!!! she is still very much a work in progress, but i can give you a bit of her lore! her name is Tomiko Kaneko, she is somewhere in her mid 50s/early 60s, and she owns a hotel + casino chain under the name Lady Luck. instead of the blacksuits, she has redsuits! (like playing cards. lol) the whole hotel is staffed with women except for custodians and maybe busboys. there's regular gambling on the ground floor, then there's a secret Floor Zero with illegal gambling, stripteases, and drug trades. (still working on what games exactly are played down there) Tomiko herself is very manipulative and can be scary if she wants to, but on the outside she gives off the vibe of a charasmatic hostess. she is not apart of Teiai but is most likely close with one or two people from the corporation, thus she learns about Kaiji through the grapevine. honestly she finds him pathetic in an endearing way. maybe too endearing! Tomi is very much what you'd call a cougar. she figures if she gives him a place to stay in her hotel, he will give her anything she wants (SEX!!!!!!!!!!!). also she probably treats him like a racehorse and bets on him winning rigged games. because money. Kaiji on the other hand is "using her" for the money, the roof over his head, and the occasional lay. i put that in quotes because she is fully aware of his intentions, there's no world where he would be the master manipulator. they eventually start having this fucked up sorta situationship where they arent really sure how they feel about each other. is this love? lust? who knows?

i love her very much!!! i just finished Kaiji s2 but i plan on reading the manga from the start to get a good grasp on the world, and where in the timeline i want Tomiko to fall into. i will definitely be posting more of her as i refine her design/personality/backstory :]

Unless you've blocked news about Gaza or are completely out of the loop, we all know the conditions there are still atrocious -- that Israel is breaking the ceasefire with relentless cruelty, and that the meager aid being allowed in is not sufficient for the people there. Bombs are still falling, and people are still dying.
