Mm a thought, Cadet Cloud being into video games. Really into them. Finds out about them once he makes it Midgar. Plays them all the time. Probably bonds with a few of his fellow cadets over them. Finds a way to be social. 

No they don’t have a lot of free time, but its something easy they can gather around. Zack joins them on occasion when he has time. Its a big deal whenever that ‘First Class SOLDIER dude’ shows up.

End of FF7 rolls around and Cloud picks of a video game for the first time in ages and its just not the same. He doesn’t get the same excitement out of it. Its not fun anymore and its kinda painful.

For two reason though.

One, obviously he’s reminiscing about the old days. But that’s not the big issue. 

Mostly he’s just angry about realism. He’s like, literally I can lift xyz, why can’t this super soldier video game character do it. OMG just RUN FASTER. I fall off a PLATE and live why can’t you jump ten feet to the ground??

He starts a game night up but everyone knows you’re a fool if you attend. He eventually gives up on it.

Tseng smiled pleasantly. “Yes, the plate that obliterated Sector 7′s slums was dropped on my order. I need to know how you and your organisation knew about it prior to the mission.”

“My name is Tseng, I lead the Turks. You are Cloud Strife, former ShinRa employee. So you already know how this is going to work, Cloud. You tell me what I need to know and perhaps I allow you to leave, or you don’t and we decide to get creative. It’s really up to you.”

It would be a shame to have to hurt him. But it wasn’t something he could help - he needed to locate and deal with their leak.

“That’s why I’m a former ShinRa employee.” His eyes narrowed. He’d known they’d find his identity quickly. They’d probably known it the first time he’d walked by a camera. Still, it was unnerving to hear his name from the Turk’s lips. 

Cloud lifting his head, forcing a confidence he just barely felt. “I don’t know why you’d put any faith in a Wall Market thug.” 

He took another step closer to Tseng. Why did that name seem familiar? Had Aerith said it?  

His vision faltered, static pushing to become clear. His bound hand pulled at the restraint as his head dipped. Cloud winced but just as quickly, it was gone. He straightened himself out, fixing his glare back on the Turk as though nothing had happened. 

“Don Corneo, if you really can’t put it together.”

Finally. I can see small text. 

I can now reach my final form of aesthetic posting. Which includes small text and not much else tbh.
