New trail today. 🚶
Me and my mate headed out on a little adventure. Packed the backpack and kicked things off at a football field. We set up a couple of goals and spent a good while just passing and taking shots. I’m absolutely hopeless at football, but it was a good laugh/ workout anyway ⚽️
After a quick break, we swapped the football for badminton. Safe to say I got my revenge there. 🤭🏸
Next stop was our swimming spot, but we decided to take a trail we’d never walked before. It definitely didn’t disappoint. something about wandering into places you’ve never seen before is abit exiting.. Every turn makes you wonder what’s around the next corner. I think my mate enjoyed it too… even if he looked skeptical a few times. We arrived swetty and ready to cool off 🏊♀️
The lake was as good as ever. A few jumps, throwing balls around in the water, cooling off after the hike. It was perfect… until the water started feeling a little too cold.
Something I really enjoy about the hikes are all the animals you get to see… you never know what and where… Today it was horses, sheep and a little frog 🐸
This sheep were absolutely adorable. Just look at this little thing… :3 meeeee’ing and foto ready 🤭🐑🐏
And of course, it isn't a proper hike without some berry picking… My mate doesn't like raspberries for some reason, but that's fine. It only means more for me. 😅
On the way back, we took a little detour through the fields and picked some potatoes. They’re getting cleaned up now and some are heading straight into the oven. I don’t know what it is lately, but baked potatoes have become one of my favourite things. Sometimes the best meals are the simplest ones.
17k+ steps, fresh air, good company, lots of laughs and a backpack that came home heavier than when it left. Not a bad way to spend a day if you ask me 🤭 💯
Weekend mood.
heading over to Mum’s for some homemade burgers, ice cream and a couple of episodes of The Mentalist. Can’t really argue with that.
met up with a mate and the adventures started. We found an amazing place to swim and ended up wandering around places we haven’t been in years…
just poked around exploring for no particular reason.. talking and just messing about. Nothing planned, just seeing where we ended up.
Found this little guy on the trail. Tiny, harmless and probably wondering why two grown men were so excited to see him. 🤭
We also made a few local cows very happy. I think I’ve officially been accepted into the herd now! Cause they were following us, after we had spent some time with them. 🐮😅
Oh… and I rescued this little flower. It was growing in a pretty bad spot, so now it lives in the pot by my front door instead. Hope you enjoy your new home little fella. 🌼
Been one of those days that just happens. No plans, no rush, just good food, good company, and seeing where the day takes you. Wish you all a great weekend ahead! Byeee! 👋
Moooood 🐮 ☀️
met a tiny slow worm. They’re completely harmless, I also spotted one of Norway’s only venomous snakes, the European adder, but like most of them, it wanted nothing to do with me and disappeared before I could get a picture.
Fun fact: Despite how they look, slow worms aren’t snakes they’re actually legless lizards! They can blink, drop their tail to escape predators, and grow up to 50 cm long. Harmless to humans, they’re also fantastic little gardeners, helping keep slugs and snails under control. 🐍
Another day, another little adventure. Mostly the usual trail, but nature always finds a way to make it interesting.
Snacked on some blueberries along the way and brought a handful home. And speaking of berries… it won’t be long before the lingonberries are ready. Homemade lingonberry jam is honestly one of my favorite things.. perfect with potatoes and so many other meals. 🥔
Found a peaceful little swimming spot, added another 15k steps to the counter
A simple day, but one of those that reminds me why I love being out here.
Made a new friend today. 🦋
Sometimes I feel like it’s not me watching the forest…. It’s the forest watching me… 👻
Maybe it’s only my imagination... But i keept walking.. a little faster than before. 🌲👁️ 👁️
Thursday’s shed assistant showed up for work today.
Didn’t organize a single tool, offered questionable advice and somehow still boosted morale! 🔧🙂
If you could restart your life from age 15 with all the knowledge you possessed now, so that you COULD go back and fix all your regrets/mistakes, would you do it?
Yes
No

Not sure what I think about this post.
I sat with it for a while, it got me thinking.. going back and forth and I think my answer is yes.
I’ve made mistakes. More than I’d like to admit. Some of them changed me in ways I never expected and some still keep me awake from time to time. I don’t hate the person I was, though. just trying to figure life out with the knowledge i had. Iguess
But if I could go back, knowing what I know now, I would.
Not to rewrite my whole story.
Just to steal a few more moments with the people who is no longer here and sutch..
2,000,000 Steps. 122 Days. 👟
Well… that’s a number I never expected to see.
Since March 30th, I’ve walked 2,000,000 steps over 122 consecutive days, averaging 16,393 steps every single day. my goal was 10k.. Snow, Rain, sunshine, sore legs or existential dread.. no discrimination.. a grind every day!
Along the way, I’ve become something between a hiker, a berry collector and a forest raccoon. Wild strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, apples… you name it.. if it’s edible and growing in the woods, chances are I’ve probably found it.
I’ve crossed paths with deer, ducks, birds, and more insects than I’d like to remember. My radio has been my faithful hiking companion through every kind of weather, from perfect summer evenings to rainydays.. that left my shoes sounding like water balloons.
The truth is, this wasn’t built on motivation. Motivation comes and goes. Habit/disepline is what got me here. And why i started this little selfimprovement journey.. I have learned so much about myself, what I'm capable of, especially on the bad days.
Some days I felt unstoppable. Other days I wanted to go home before i started... But I kept putting one foot in front of the other, and eventually those tiny steps turned into two million of them.
Many memories, so many magical moments, and a lot of bad ones, that I wouldn't change for anything.. Or maybe that one day where my rain pants split mid-hike. Yeah. Yeah, I really wish I had other pants under that day. I would change that. 100%!! 🤭
So whatever goal you’re chasing, don’t worry about taking giant leaps. Just keep moving. One stubborn step at a time. You’ll get there before you realize it.
Now… if you’ll excuse me, time to relax with a fitting movie. 👟🍓📻
🎬 The Long Walk (2025)
A gripping dystopian thriller based on Stephen King’s novel. Every year, 100 teenage boys take part in a brutal walking competition where stopping means death. As the miles wear on, friendships, fear, and survival collide in a tense story about endurance, sacrifice, and the limits of the human spirit.
Happy heaven. 🌿
After getting some cleaning and vacuuming done at home, I headed out for my hike… and I absolutely hit the jackpot.
I spent a good hour or two carefully picking raspberries, making sure only the best ones made it into my tummy. They were huge, incredibly sweet and honestly the best patch I’ve found so far. Just look at them!
A little farther down the trail, I stumbled across several apple trees. I found Huvitus, Katinka, Transparente Blanche and Kronprins apples, so I picked a couple of each to take home and find out which one tastes the best.
I also came across some yellow raspberries and boysenberries, but they’re not quite ripe yet. Looks like I’ll have to come back later. 🤭🙂↕️
After wandering a bit more, I stopped to relax with a few ducks before finding the perfect spot for a swim. then started the walk home..🥱
Tonight’s menu: chicken wings and some baked potatoes 🥔 🍗 Super jummy w butter/chilli/salt/pepper :3
To finish off the day, I turned today’s berries into another fresh batch of homemade raspberry jam.. now im out of jars.. 🫙
How wierd.. is it the rain?
Some days it just hits out of nowhere.
The day was good. I got things done. I laughed. Nothing went wrong. Yet somehow, here I am, feeling emotionally drained, carrying a weight I can’t even explain…
It’s strange how your mind can turn on one without asking
Maybe that’s okay, though. Not pretending everything is fine all the time, but accepting that some days are just heavier than others.
Tomorrow will come. And hopefully, so will a lighter version of me. >.<
Almost done now! 👨🔧
Amazing day today. Got so much done. Spent 3–4 hours working on the deck, and it’s finally looking brand new and ready for oiling. Also got some weeding done! 👍
After that I was completely exhausted (and starving), so I called mom. she was up for a little adventure. We took the dog to our favorite swimming spot, but right as i hit the water.. the weather had other plans. The wind picked up out of nowhere, and then the rain started pouring.
So we changed plans, grabbed a pizza, headed back to her place and watched a movie instead. wouldn’t have changed a thing. Just relaxing, eating pizza, cuddling with the dog and enjoying the evening…. 🤭
Berry Good Hike 🚶♂️ 🍒
I woke up feeling skeptical, but I’m berry glad I went.
The weather turned out amazing on todays hike, the sun showed up, I found the perfect spot for a swim, and of course… I somehow wandered home with another bag of raspberries. Funny how that keeps happening..🤭
I meant to save more of them, but quality control got the better of me. Let’s just say I thoroughly tested the harvest on the way home. 🍓
I still have about half a mason jar left from my last raspberry jam batch, but there were enough berries left over to make 3little jars today. They didn’t set quite as perfectly as the big batch, but they still tasted berry good. Since i got alot left, i will be giving them away to family 😌
As if that wasn’t enough, I’m very lucky to have a couple of cherry trees in my garden too, so I picked some cherries while I was at it. The sweet cherries are absolutely delicious.
There are also regular cherries, so I get the best of both worlds. A little bit of everything, and I’m definitely not complaining. 🍒
I’ve been seeing a lot of people on Tumblr trying fermentation lately, and it’s got me abit inspired. With all the berries and cherries growing around me, maybe it’s time to try making some cherry wine or cider . It could be a fun little project.. 🤷♂️Tumblr really is full of lovely people and great inspiration.
I’m ending the day feeling genuinely happy. Time to kick back with some snacks, a little treat and a movie.. Tonight’s pick is The Death of Robin Hood. It has a 6.1 on IMDb, so I’m curious to see how it holds up.
Some days are just the cherry on top. 🍒

A little bird whispered in my ear… 🥔
Since I love foraging for free food, I figured it was time to grow a little of my own. While mowing the lawn today, I decided to bring my old strawberry patch back to life after years of weeds and overgrowth.
It’s far from perfect, and there’s still more weeding to do, but it’s a good start. If all goes to plan, this little corner will soon be full of potatoes. or something else… 🤷😌
Many projects at once..
Today’s mission was all about bringing a little life back to things that had been neglected.
I was planning change the impeller on the engine. Then I found out I should move the lawn. But I should maybe do something with the garden as well. But then I should maybe do something about the wooden deck where I got my boats. But also, what about the other deck.. door?
The plan didn’t exactly go as planned. Wrestling a heavy outboard engine out by myself was enough to make me question every decision I’d made today, so I packed my bag, went for a hike, and finished with a swim to clear my head.
Back home, I grabbed a Red Bull, mowed the lawn, found the pressure washer… started on the first deck with the boats… and five minutes later it tripped the breaker and killed the power to the whole house. Perfect. 😂
Luckily, Mom came to the rescue and let me borrow hers. A few hours later, the first section of the deck is looking brand new, and it’s incredibly satisfying seeing years of dirt disappear.
There’s still more to do tomorrow before I can oil the deck, Throw out the tent, get some outdoor sofas going, and the grill I got in my shed. Summer is almost over, but it's better late than never, isn't it? but for today, that’s enough. Cold feet, dirty clothes, and Homemade fries and some sausages are calling… Overall a good sunday 🤘
