I'm going to make a new blog and not use this one. I'll probably keep this url... or maybe go back to Ferine, or have something new?! Knowing myself I may come back to this blog in the future. I like starting from scratch. I'm in one of those funny moods, I get like this a lot, oh the joys of being a nutcase. If/when I make a new one, I'll post my link on here ♥
The Hills is officially ending after season 6 which starts in April (later on this year for us UK people), :O!!

In 1771, Fragonard was commissioned to paint a series of panels for the chateau at Louveciennes, the “love nest” of Madame du Barry, the beautiful mistress of Louis XV. His assigned theme was “The Progress of Love,” and Fragonard selected to illustrate a variety of stratagems and tactics which lovers have always used. Like its companion piece, the “Meeting”, this panel is set in a luscious, albeit imaginary garden. Its title is “The Lover Crowned,” and while it may describe only the delicate pose which the couple strike for their friend to sketch, the obvious erotic implications are that the young man has received more than just a crown.

Venus and Mars (c.1483). Sandro Botticelli.
The painting of Venus and Mars deals with an amorous victory. Venus is clothed and is attentively keeping watch over Mars as he sleeps. The god of war has taken off his armor and is lying naked on his red cloak; all he is wearing is a white loin cloth, while little fauns are playing mischievously with the weapons and armor of the god of war. Botticelli’s theme is that the power of love can defeat the warrior’s strength.
