i want to experience myself as i am, without imagining how it would look in somebody else’s memory later.
Then just find out that you are something that you nor anyone else can possibly see

HOW TO SEE THE DEVIL
Good and evil are useless discriminations, and so it follows that even though the Devil and Buddha have different names, they are one and the same. Consequently, to merely forgive an evildoer and not respect him as Buddha means that you do not comprehend his true nature.
It's as if the evildoer is a person in dirty clothes and the Buddha is a person in clean clothes. To discriminate on the basis of clothing means that you don't see the person wearing it. So instead of screaming, "Get out of here, devil!" you should treat the devil with total sincerity:
"Devil, you are sacred. I really respect you." If you do, then you'll never again be able to find a single devil in the whole world; it will be filled with Buddhas all standing hand-in-hand.
Ven. SongChol (1912~1993), one of the great Zen masters of Korea in the last century, was called ‘Living Buddha’ because of his dedicated and highly matured life. For eight years, he was practicing without lying down to sleep.
“You are ever the witness, never the witnessed; ever the subject, never an object.”
- Swami Sarvapriyananda
"The essence of the teaching is that you are the ultimate reality, and if you would know yourself as that, then all your problems would be solved."
- Swami Sarvapriyananda
What's some advice/wisdom you can give me rn? It can be the first thing that pops up in your mind!
Just seeing this!
Well if I'm pressed to say something, i would say question how serious life really is. Think about how long your personal satisfaction lasts, how resilient is your peace? How unshakable is your happiness, your satisfaction. Reflect on for how long your goals are relevant, and why you have them. Are they for just the small temporary person?See if you're okay with keeping the goals mean nothing after death and fade with the body.
i feel like i need more prompting to avoid pontificating or being unhelpful lol. Is there somewhere youre feeling stuck personally?
Ignorance, and sin, attachment, lust, anger, greed bring misery and unhappiness. Misery is an eye opener... They enable you to get disgusted with worldly life and take to Sadhana.
All happenings are mutually interdependent in a way that seems unbelievably harmonious. Every this goes with every that. Without others there is no self, and without somewhere else there is no here, so that — in this sense — self is other and here is there.
Alan Watts
So what is discord at one level of your being is harmony at another level. Alan Watts
The moralist is the person who tells people that they ought to be unselfish, when they still feel like egos, and his efforts are always and invariably futile. Alan Watts
