You youths have a seriously difficult opinion of fun in comparison to those of us with an old soul. So no, I know nothing of what fun is."

Wendy pressed her lips together, trying not to laugh as she pictured the idea of him with a mustache. "I have seen past your disguise actually so therefore it is becoming more and more transparent." A smile lit up Wendy’s face as she reached out to tug on his hand. "You don’t believe that it’s more fun? Come on, I’ll prove it to you."

You deserve a prize at the very least, on top of the chance to live not only this life but for a very long time." Xavier's lips tugged, fighting to break out into a wide grin despite his best efforts to keep it into a small quick of his lips. "You are clearly much too good at this, and I don't believe it. I'm much more frightened than I should be considering that you are so small of a thing to be tugging me along."

"I don't suppose either of did any sort of introduction. We kind of got off on a tangent there. Pleasure to mee you Tod, I'm Xavier. It's quite nice to find someone who thinks that some things aren't so fine. Most people here find it utterly insane to think that I have a cell phone and use it for no more than phone calls and messages."

With a whip of her hair, Catlyn took the opportunity to examine the figure speaking to her. Her eyes lit up with glee at the sight of someone familiar and friendly, of all combinations. Xavier was at least someone with whom she could speak without pretense or expectation - and in her line of work, and even the entire city of Regium, that was difficult to find. “Oh, hi,” she replied animatedly, a smile gracing her face. “Not a fan of Halloween? It’s just - I quite like being able to become someone else for a night.”

A small smile twisted at the corner of her lips — she greeted him with such light enthusiasm. "Hello," he supplied back, letting his gaze fall back to scene before him. He pulled a hand out of his pocket and smoothed down his suit habitually. “I like the holiday well enough. I'm not a fan of being involved with the festivities of it. Costume parties are a definitive no in my books.” He paused momentarily at her words a number of things coming to mind as she said them, he continued — ignoring all of those thoughts, "For example?"

"Yes, precisely. They typically are, but there’re still those who aren’t as honest about their job as one would hope. I don’t think that’s too often the case though with mailmen, fortunately. Sounds like they enjoy partying a bit. Oh yes, letters can take a long time and some may have to go through customs depending on the size and weight, but that’s usually only if you’re trying to send something of a larger size than a letter. True, I can’t imagine something like that getting by you unnoticed now that I think about it."

"Society will always have that I think. People who are more inclined to be dishonest for whatever reasons they deem fit. Not much to steal in the mail I'd think. A lot of junk mail? Maybe some important document? Even then what is it to a mailman who knows nothing of it's purpose, more than that, why even bother sending something so important through the mail and take that chance. Another place we circle around to the do it in person subject. Everything is much easier that way. Like sending a care package I suppose. I think that is a compliment to my perceptive ability and I want to say thank you. If however it is not, then thank you all the same, as I have accepted it as a compliment nonetheless."

Isabelle glanced at him, shaking her head as she finished wiping the chocolate off his cheek, then moved away from Xavier in order to throw the wet paper towel in the trash. She didn’t understand why or how things had taken a sexual turn — oh wait, she was the one who suggested sexual favors. Or well… perhaps this was her fault after all. “Why would you want to sleep with me?” The brunette asked, turning around to face him, as she crossed her arms in front of her chest. Xavier was a few steps away from her, so she didn’t feel the need to speak louder than it was necessary, especially since anyone could walk in on them and take this the wrong way. “What if I’m not good at it? What if you’re used to a certain level of—expertise and I can’t meet your standards? I would be crushed to have let Xavier Jr there, down.” She said that last part motioning her index finger towards his crotch as a small smirk tugged on her lips.

Her hazel hues averted up to meet his, tilting her head to the side when he mentioned that he might not like chocolate cake, which made Isabelle scoff and shake her head. “Nonsense. Everyone loves chocolate cake. I would pray for you, that’s what I’d do. Maybe Jesus would have mercy on your soul for not liking chocolate cake.” She chuckled, pushing herself away from the sink and walking towards him, playfully punching his shoulder, as a soft giggle left her lips. “Stop thinking about my vagina, Rhiding. You’re embarrassing me!”

"I thought the answer would be obvious. You have mentioned something sexual and now that it has been brought up the thought of it is the only thing on my mind." Xavier gave a little shrug, a sigh of how casual the conversation had gotten for him. "You don't have to be good, not at first you don't. Besides don't I do all the hard work anyways? Expertise makes it sound as though I hire ladies to spend my nights with company. Which we had talked about once or twice and that would never be the case." At her gesture, his blue eyes followed her finger to find her pointing at the center of his pants. Hearing the word crushed come from her mouth made his hand wonder over the area as if trying to protect it all from harm. "We do not discuss a man's bits and the word crushed in the same sentence if we can help it. That is a forbidden place. I will reiterate the age old knowledge that there is little that you could do to let a man and his bits down. Enjoy the ride and I think everyone will. Including Junior."     Xavier chuckled as she scoffed, pursing his lips and tilting his head at the kitchen around him. He wasn't so sure that everyone loved chocolate cake. He would eat it, that was for sure. "I wouldn't be so sure on the everyone loves it. Everyone will eat it, but maybe not love it. Or is the implication here that whatever you make is so delicious it would be outrageous to think that anyone would dislike it? He watched as she made her way over and left a soft hit at his shoulder. He made a face at her words, "You're embarrassing yourself. Your bits haven't crossed my mind for quite some minutes now, but I mean now that you've brought it back — maybe I should. Give me a moment to find that special place. Don't touch me, you'll ruin my zen." Xavier stepped away from her, reaching his arm out to ensure she stayed arms length from him as he started to hum in a low pitch. A smile pulled at his features as he did so, finding it funny.

"Well find it preposterous all you like, it doesn’t make it any less true. Of course, you wouldn’t know what I mean by truth, would you? All you do is lie." Wendy wrinkled her nose as she looked at him, a tell tale sign that she was trying her hardest not to laugh. "I think it’s for the best. A mustache on you would make you look like a dastardly pirate instead of the handsome charmer you’re trying to pull off now. But okay old man, keep trying your hardest to fit in with the youngsters." Wendy raised her eyebrows, her mischievous side coming out the more she spoke. "But getting in trouble seems more fun than talking about my day."

"I know only of truths, these lies of which you speak are naught but foreign concepts to me. Like a fourth dimension." Xavier made an odd face, his hand subconciously raising to his upper lip and brushing his fingers along the hairless spot. A mustache would not make him look like a pirate... would it? "Trying to pull off? I think I'm doing a good job of pulling it off. No one's seen past my disguise yet and you're now cheating cause you know otherwise." He chuckled at her words, it seemed adventure was in her blood. "So they say."

Phoenix acted like he was listening to what his friend said but he wasn’t, not quite. “I don’t think a few days away is really going to change much.” He at least was able to comment on his work habits. He had no idea what the company was. He knew that his mother had found it to be very important, he knew that it had Adam’s name in it. That was about it. It bored him too much to care. “Anyways, you should go. Maybe you can meet someone. Get laid.”

Xavier looked up, his blue eyes turning to his friend barely an arm's reach away. A few days seemed like so much smaller of a time span when spoken like that. H epaused nerely contemplating it until his next comment. "Oh for the love… I do not need to meet anyone, find someone to share any sort of intamacies with. I am quite alright without it. I could just as easy go and not — as you so eloquently put it — get laid. What will you do? Presumably the same no doubt?"

I bet they’ll create and application that’ll think for them so they don’t have to waste any precious minute from their lives to even stop and let their thoughts wander for a while."

"Adventures in the Kitchen, book two: Revenge of the Chocolate!" Isabelle said in a pompous, slightly male voice, as soon as Xavier threatened getting his revenge on having chocolate being smeared on his face. With a chuckle, Isabelle handed him the paper towel roll, so that he could wipe everything off of his face and set the chocolate bowl aside, since she had used pretty much everything that she needed to use anyway. "What would you like to win, then? Anything but sexual favors. Those are not my specialty." The brunette teased, trying to keep thing as light as possible, just like he had managed to do, back when he had gone to visit her at the hospital back then. 

"How old would the birthday boy be? 45 or 57?" Belle ripped a piece of the towel paper and turned on the sink to get it a little bit wet, so that she could help him get rid of that one bit of chocolate that remained on his cheek. "Excuse me." Pushing herself to the tip of her toes, Isabelle gently took him by his chin and turned his face away and tilted his head down, finally cleaning everything off. "And I’m baking you a cake, birthday boy. A chocolate cake. Now tell me, what do you want for your birthday?"

Xavier narrowed his eyes a bit, curious to if she was trying to mock him, but he said nothing. He accepted the towel with a small thank you before letting his shoulders sag dramatically. "What else am I to ask for if not copious amounts of sexual favors? What's the benefit of being the birthday boy with out at least some candy nipple tassels?" Xavier's lips spread into a grin as he spoke. He wondered what she would think to hear him speak less formally, it was not often that she had spoke with him out of work. The number of times could be counted on one hand if he thought about it.     "Oh, so close. I'm actually 79. I mean you were nearly close, but not really. You could even pretend to get the numbers mixed up and put 97 on my cake if you would so prefer. This just means age before beauty when walking through doors. You'll have to be opening them for me from now on." As he was speaking, his eyes had trailed down to his hand, where the paper towel she had given him lay as though forgotten. Once she had responded with a quiet couple of words, blue eyes snapped upwards, allowing her to hold and move his face as a new, wet paper towel wiped at smudges. "What if I hate chocolate cake? I mean, what would you do then? Surely you would have to throw it all out and create me a new one from scratch. You simply must. For I am the birthday boy. I get what I want. Is the sexual favors request box still a no?" He winked playfully to her, his lips cracking into another smile. Since it was not his birthday, he did not need to think of a real gift, but to tease her seemed fine enough for him."

"I have to disagree. I’m always nice, and you’re just a liar most of the time. Besides, I never said anything about tattoos. Now you’re just imagining things." Wendy shook her head, raising her eyebrows at Xavier. "Oh now I’m seeing it… Very unattractive. You really should do something to try and preserve that youthful energy or else this is just somewhat sad." Rolling her eyes, Wendy took a playful step away from Xavier, moving her hands behind her back to keep up the innocent pose. "Well then I will step back away from the police station so we can return to immortality and gang involvement."

"This liar business. I am quite honest, I find it preposturous that you say I am not an honest and truthful man." Xavier rubbed at his chin as she looked to him,"Yeah. All these years and still no beard or mustache. Maybe anti-aging cream and botox. I'll have to fight fire with fire. Then I'll drink lots of energy drinks and try to keep up with you youngins. I might have a difficult time. I'm not as young as I used to be." As she stepped away, he rose a brow, and stepped once towards her himself. "Well maybe we should leave the police station and talk about something that isn't going to get us in trouble. Like maybe how your day was? I'm sure it's better now that you've seen me."

"Exactly. There are things that you must learn through experience. How else will a child learn about socializing, or thrusting, or sharing or forgiving through a screen? If parents are lazy enough to not even teach them themselves those important things and instead choose to rely on machine to teach their children values and morals, then we are a little screwed as a society. Because all these new generations are just gonna follow the same trail from their parents who will come out of this century of social media."

"The dreadful truth is that it has already begun. This process where parents neglect to discipline or pay attention to their children becuase they are too invested in their personal time and sitting on their phone that their offspring run amuk, doing as they so please without a hint of control. We've already started with the generation taught from technology rather than from people. Good in some ways, but much worse in so many others."

"The Middle C… I don’t know how to explain it well, but once you learn where it is you don’t forget it too easily I don’t think. I’d be wary of using a middle person and in that case I’d rather even send an email or letter. Although with that said I suppose the mailman would be the middle person in that scenario. I can imagine that’d be a hard time to make with them to see them via video chatting then the time difference isn’t anything that small. That plan could possibly work too."

"It just be one of those things you learn, and the more familiar you ware with such a thing, the easier it is. Maybe someday in that case. This is also true, but if there is trust, then it could work out. The mailmen are usually a trustworthy lot. I mean they get you your mail and more or less without any incident. Quite difficult to do and the few times I have done it they weren't sober enough to realize I was not with them whereever they were. I sent a letter, but the mailing process to another country must take a few months or so. If i get food on my paperwork? I will have to hope so, not much else I could do — especially if I never notice it."

People would always ask her why did she bake, and truth be told, Isabelle would like to have a better answer to give them, other than ‘because it relaxes me’. Books enticed her, they took her to places that she had never been. Books were knowledge, they brought truth and magic to her life. Her coding skills kept her grounded, it showed who and where people were, what they did and how she could defend herself. They were a weapon. But baking? No, baking was relaxing. It was how she showed herself that she still had some sort of control over her life, it reminded her of better, easier times. Diving a spoon into the chocolate bowl, the brunette handed it to Xavier, after all, she knew he wouldn’t want to get his hands dirty. He was too proper and prim for that, something that she had actually found interesting about him.

"Just baking for baking." She told him as she quickly reached into the bowl, scooping some chocolate from around the borders and smearing on the tip of his nose. It shouldn’t make him go crazy over it, after all, it was somewhere easy to clean it off. "I actually find it relaxing, but we can pretend it’s your birthday, if you want." Once again, she smeared some chocolate on his face. This time, it was on his right cheek, which was followed by a light giggle. "Happy birthday, Rhiding!"

Xavier nodded passively,"Yes, but I would love to know what it is you are baking." His lips spread into a smile, curving upwards to show of his row of white teeth. Having left his suitcase and overcoat with the butler, Xavier moved to strip off his bloazer as well, leaving him in his dress shirt. As his attention returned to her he flinched back at the feel of something pressing against his nose. He blinked, surprised, before coming to his senses a moment later. Another feeling of the same substance was now on his cheek and as he did with every situtation that surprised him. He continued as he was doing, placing his blazer away from her commotion. Xavier rose a hand up to find her mix on his cheek and nose. "Oh? Am I getting any special presents for my birthday or just the cake?" His nose scrunched as he wiped at the chocolate on his nose using the same hand from before.    "You realize that I cannot simply let you get away with putting chocolate on me. Some revenge must be taken…" He wagged his two chocolate covered fingers at her before looking around for the sink and something to wipe his hands on to clean them off. "Especially cause it's my birthday. Aren't you supposed to be nice to the birthday boy? Is it not tradition that you do this?"
