where will you adjust your responses to the questions to strengthen your point?

To strengthen my interview-question responses, I will focus on being more specific with examples. Instead of describing skills in general terms, I plan to clearly connect each skill to a concrete assignment from this course. I also want to tighten my language so that every paragraph clearly supports the main point of the response. In a few areas, I will expand on how course concepts like audience, user experience, and genre influenced my writing decisions. These adjustments will help my responses sound more confident, intentional, and professionally relevant.

what are you most proud of with your writing process?

I am most proud of how much my revision process has improved. Earlier in my academic career, revision mostly meant fixing grammar or wording. Through this course, I learned to revise at a deeper level by rethinking structure, audience awareness, and purpose. I’ve become more comfortable reworking entire sections rather than just editing sentences. This shift helped me produce clearer, stronger writing and made drafting feel like an essential part of thinking. This is a writing habit I will continue using after college.

I think I can make my responses stronger by relating each answer to specific examples from the class. I usually know exactly where I practiced a skill or how an assignment helped me grow, but I often forget/struggle to actually write it out. I think taking the time to add those connections will make my answers feel more grounded and show my thoughts more clearly.

⟢ What do you like most about your learning?

What I like most about my learning is how I’ve been able to adapt to new information and challenges in Web Writing. Even when certain concepts or assignments felt outside my comfort zone, I was able to think in this new space of web writing and figure out what it means efficiently. It’s satisfying to see that I can take unfamiliar ideas and turn them into something I can use in the future, whether it’s for digital communication, audience engagement, or creative projects.

⟢ What are you most proud of with your writing process?

I think I’m proud that I’ve developed a process that balances drafting, and revision. I feel like I can now approach various writing styles more intentionally, especially when working for a specific audience. Watching my rough concepts turn into intentional ideas in Web Writing makes me more confident in my ability to adapt in different digital writing contexts.

I’ve learned that in my writing process, it’s important to take my time and break my work into different stages. This helps me stay organized and create stronger, clearer writing. After college, these habits will definitely help me write more confidently and professionally; whether it’s emails, reports, or any work-related writing in the medical field.

I think the “breaking down work into different stages” is a great habit to continue in the future. I struggle with trying to get everything done at one point of time instead of slowing down and creating goals for myself.

Writing Process

Q: What did you learn about your writing process that will help you after college?

A: I learned that I like to get a lot of my thoughts / findings out immediately in the drafting phase so I have less to do during my revision process. This way, I am able to get feedback that guides my revision based upon all of my current info and work from there, rather than trying to build upon super rough drafts and having to do *a lot* of work each draft.

I agree I tend to do the same thing! I think having a lot of information to work from at the start makes the revision process a lot smoother. I think I struggled with striving for perfection with my initial drafts instead of thinking of them as works in progress.

What did you learn about drafting across multiple weeks that will inform your writing process after college?

I learned multiple ways of organizing my ideas in the drafting process, and how drafting is more than just making a simple outline. With this new understanding of this particular part of the process, I feel confident that my written works will now start to feel more organized.

I agree I think drafting can be a lot more organized and efficient than what I was doing before, and having the time to draft over multiple weeks let me slow down my process a little. That approach will be useful after college for sure.

Developing Style

Q: how are you developing style to build your argument in the content analysis?

A: I think that my style for this project is very academic-focused. I had a little bit of a difficult time navigating how to design my title page and how to make the overall project cohesive in terms of stylistic elements (the title page, the graphs, etc), but I have just tried to focus on clarity and making my design elements / visuals purposeful and effective rather than getting caught up in making everything look super pretty. I think for other projects I might focus more on design, but I wanted my emphasis for this project to be more centered on my analysis.

I can relate to this, I think I tried to balance design with the academic structure of the analysis as I was writing, but the design portion was a little neglected in mine. I think it’s difficult trying to balance so many different elements while also maintaining the quality of the analysis

Having a solid revision process will be beneficial to any writing I do outside of this class for sure. It might look a little different depending on what it is for, but having a process to revise my writing makes it easier on me, and possibly whoever is editing my paper. It's definitely much better than just sporadically noticing mistakes and trying to fix it as I go along.

I agree with your perspective, I think I had the habit of just trying to fix things as I go. I think a good revision process adds that structure to your writing that eases the stress and makes the overall drafting process a lot easier

Revision Process

Q: How will having a good revision process help you moving forward beyond this class?

A: I think overall having an effective revision process helps in other courses and in any future courses overall. Being able to revise in a productive way allows you to make your goals, and have a clear understanding of how to approach and achieve those goals. Having a good revision process translates to having an effective planning process and setting realistic goals for yourself based upon the needs of your given project.

I agree! I think an effective revision process gets you in the mindset and habit of being able to take feedback and slow down to see what needs to be improved on.

what does your final revision process look like?

At this point in the draft, all of my content should be written. I will read through the entire draft and address any mistakes after my read throught. Here I'd be looking at mechanical, grammatical errors, and just making sure the whole paper is cohesive and is the final product that I want.

My revision process is pretty similar, I find that it’s definitely easier to fix all the minor mistakes once the draft has gone through multiple revisions!

⟢ What did you learn about your writing process that will help you after college?

This project helped me understand that my writing process works best when I give myself time to think. I realized I tend to see patterns before I write about them, and that drafting with data is a struggle for me. I also learned I am pretty brief with revisions. My first drafts were more like final ideas than drafts. After college, I think this awareness will help me approach big projects in a more concise and slow manner. Instead of expecting and prioritizing perfection from the start, I’ll slow my process down and build the final product piece by piece.

Drafting this project over several weeks taught me that writing is way more manageable when it’s broken into stages. I think I try too hard to force a perfect draft in one sitting, but I needed space to focus on one part at a time. Although I fell a bit behind, this structure helped me think more clearly and let my ideas evolve naturally. I’ll definitely use this approach after college because it reduces burnout and leads to more thoughtful writing.

I’m realizing that a strong revision process is essentially a life skill. Being able to step back, rethink decisions, and refine a message is something I’ll need no matter what field I go into. I think that kind of clarity/mindset is useful in jobs, creative work, and even daily communication. Having a reliable revision routine means I can create better work the first time and improve faster over time.

⟢ How are you developing style to build your argument in the content analysis?

For my content analysis, I’ve been writing in a style that feels both analytical and visually aware, since I’m analyzing artists. I’m trying to write in a way that mirrors what I see in the posts. I keep highlighting motifs, fashion influences, and audience behaviors in a way that guides the reader to notice the same things I noticed in the data. My tone leans descriptive but also interpretive, I think that balance is helping strengthen my argument overall.
