Based off the classic cover Working on another pointilism piece, this time I really want to try it out with my favourite team in green.  This was a bitch to draw, I think I tried twice, but that is why they say third time is a charm. WIP

We Don't Talk About Bruno

I want to particularly shout out this one comment that feels particularly relatable- 

“Luisa reminds me of a burnt out “gifted” kid. She ties her success very closely into her worth as a human. “I’m pretty sure I’m worthless if I can’t be of service.” That exact narrative is pushed on many gifted kids (like Luisa’s gift) but it’s not nurtured properly and the gift begins to overtake them. She thinks her purpose is dependent solely on her gift, which leads to burnout and stress. The pressure from her family is very similar to the pressure that all of us know too well. “It’ll never stop.” We all know how to that feels. “No mistakes.” As she juggles the town. The message of the song and Luisa’s character as a whole are very relatable and well represent what happens when people are praised from a young age for a gift and can’t further develop with the ensuing imposter syndrome.” - Ice H2OMelon  It’s not perfect, but I’m kind of in love with Encanto

I just really enjoy how the gifts are very much related to the kind of roles family members will fall into. I wish the movie would have spent more time on the sisters, and the music video-esc style for some songs didn’t work for me, But the relationship between family members and the way the film portrays different issues, is really really interesting

And Bruno is just the best character, I love him so much We Don’t Talk About Bruno is literally the best song, visually and musically.

Azrael the Reaper - Original Character Deisgn

Ah, my oldest OC, Azzy’s been a staple in my head since I was 14 years old. This was a redesign I did for him as part of a character design class I took. It was super interesting redesigning a character who has pretty much been static in my head for 10 years, and I really like the new design. I haven’t done anything with him in ages though. I really should work out some kind of storyline for him.

The Hunter - Bloodborne

A look at the piece I’m currently working on. I’ve been really getting into using sharpie markers lately and...yeah one thing led to another. I decided to (insanely) do a bloodborne stipple on 11x17′ posterboard. It will be a while until I finish, but I hope you guys like the sneak peak

I’m so tired of people pretending that they know how I’m feeling.

I’m tired of being told I seem anxious.

Or nervous.

I’m tired of people pretending they can see inside my head. No. You fucking can’t. Don’t fucking try to ‘read’ me. If you want to know, then fucking ask me how I’m feeling, Instead of labeling me with terms that are hurtful and don’t reflect who I am. You don’t get to define my emotional state. How dare you. Instead of assuming. Ask.
