Imagine Captain Hook's reaction to you calling him "James" for the first time.
James shot around and stared at you in astonishment; you had never addressed him so personally before and it took him by suprise. Up until now you had only ever called him "Captain", though he had longed for you to get closer to him and call him by his name. Just how long had it been since someone last called him James? He smirked as he recalled; it was his own mother. No one else had ever dared to call him James. No one had been so close to him to receive such an honour.
"It's okay if I call you James, right?" You asked nervously, "I didn't mean to be disrespectful, Captain."
The sound of his name on your lips made his heart skip a beat and he became greedy; a deep need arose in him to hear his name from your mouth again and again and again.
"My dear," said James as he appoached you, his long curly locks bouncing with each step, "You may call me James, if you wish. I must admit that it's been a while since someone has called me by that name."
"Who was the last?" You asked curiously.
"My mother," James replied, "It was a very long time ago."
He stood close to you as he studied your face for any signs of treachery or deceit. He found none and instead his gaze fell upon your lips and entirely other desire came to him.
"I just wanted to say thank you," You said, looking into his blue-as-forget-me-not eyes, "You've done a lot for me during my time here in Neverland and I wanted to let you know I appreciate it. I know you and your men could have killed me when we first met but you didn't so...thank you, James."
There it was again, his name on your lips. And not only that, but your geniuine affection and appreciation for him too. It was entirely foreign to him and he wasn't sure how to process it all but it made him very happy knowing that he had your complete faith and trust.
"Of course," said James, "It would have been a shame to have killed such fine company, after all."
